After Nando’s everyone decided we wanted something to drink and as some of us aren’t actually…legal to drink, the older contestants decided to buy some and bring it back to the house. “Have you heard anything about Frankie?” I looked up at Conor and he was looking at his phone.

“Yeah Marcus just texted me saying that he’s giving her a warning and that she has to stay away from us at all times, she’s staying at a hotel over night to get her to calm down.” I nodded my head and we walked into the house. “You should get rid of that memory card in case anyone finds it.” I agree and run upstairs to put it in the bin in my bedroom. After I chucked away the evidence I see my phone flashing on the bed side table. I picked up and had a missed call from my mum. Shit, the last time I called her was to let her know I was through to the live shows. I quickly picked up my phone and dialled her number. She answered on the 3rd ring.

“Alise?” I smiled as I heard her voice.

“Hey mum, I am sorry I haven’t called you recently I have just been really busy with the competition.” I heard her laugh down the phone.

“Alise, it’s okay I understand, you’re most probably tired as well, you have hardly any time to rest. I was just calling you to let you know how proud I am of you and to wish you luck on Saturday, you’re going to kill it! Any clues on what you’re singing?” Oh fuck I haven’t even decided what I want to sing yet…I will talk to Simon about it tomorrow.

“Nope it’s a surprise,” my mum would surely nag at me if she found out I was unprepared. I heard someone call my name from downstairs so decided to say goodbye to my mum. “I’m really sorry mum but I have to go, I will make sure to call you again soon, I love you.”

“I love you too, make sure you don’t do anything you shouldn’t be doing,” ha, I was about to go downstairs and drink under age.

“I won’t mum, I promise, bye!” I lied through my teeth. The line went dead and I chucked my phone on my bed. I ran downstairs and everyone was sat in a circle on the floor, I sat down next to Conor. Hannah, someone from a group decided to explain what we were going to do.

“Okay we’re going to make this a little fun, let’s play ‘never have I’. We go round in a circle and say something that we haven’t ever done however if someone else in the room has then they take a shot. Got it?” I was looking forward to this and even the older people in the house looked excited. “Okay I’ll start…Never have I watched porn.” I looked around the room and every single boy, including Conor poured a shot and washed it down their throats, even a girl around my age in the same group as Frankie downed a shot and her cheeks reddened slightly. I could tell this was going to be a fun night.

A few hours later and I was way past ‘tipsy’. I was seeing double and couldn’t walk in a straight line. Conor went outside to get some air and I haven’t seen him come back yet, oh well, I’m having too much fun to care anyway. Me and Hannah were currently laying on the floor looking up at the ceiling laughing hysterically. “H-hannah!” I couldn’t stop laughing. “Do you want to see something really funny!” She clutched her stomach and nodded as she was laughing too much. I can’t even remember what we were laughing at. I stood up off the floor and waited until I gained my balance. I lost my footing and fell flat on my face. Hannah began laughing all over again and I rolled over and looked at her before laughing again myself. “I need to pee! I’ll be back in a second.” I crawled up the stairs, not trusting my feet to move me and made my way slowly to the bathroom. I opened the door and saw someone grinding on…Conor? A gasp escaped my mouth and I began to cry. “Conor!” They both looked up at me with confused expressions on their faces.

“Babe I’m Liam, not Conor.” I laughed to myself.

“Oopsies! Sorry I think the drink has got to me a bit! Um I sort of need to pee…” The two got up and left and I locked the door. I released the liquid from my bladder and suddenly felt sick. I sat on the floor and puked up the contents of my drinks. I groaned to myself and fell to the floor, clutching the toilet seat still. “Fuck.”  I felt dizzy and laid down on the floor and quickly passed out.

Something bright was shining on me. I rolled over and groaned. I had a headache, I felt sick, I just feel terrible over all. I need a headache pill. I opened the cupboard and almost cried when I could find something to ease my pain. I shuffled into my bedroom and got changed into one of Conor’s hoodies he lent me and a pair of sweats. I guess I have to travel to the shop quickly. I put on a pair of sunglasses and stepped out of the house. Camera’s flashed at me and I groaned for about the 50th time of the day. The flashing was not helping my hangover. I made it to the stop and walked over to the medical isle. I picked up the first box I saw that said ‘Paracetamol’ on. I walked to the cashier but something caught my eye. I walked over to it and picked it up and read the headline. “Two X-Factor contestants caught getting cosy’. I looked down at the picture and saw Conor and Anna making out with each other. I didn’t dare let any tears slip down my face. That would show that I was weak. I ran over to the till and slammed a five pound note in front of the lady and mumbled a ‘keep the change’. I sped walked home and unlocked the door and ran upstairs to Conor’s room. He was still fast asleep.

“GET THE FUCK UP YOU ASS HOLE!” Conor shot up out of his bed and looked annoyed that I had woken him up from his deep slumber. He got out of bed and rubbed his eyes.

“What’s the matter Ali?” I slammed the newspaper into his chest and slapped him across the face.

“My best friend Conor? Really?! You sick bastard! Stay away from me.” He looked down at the newspaper and all colour drained from his face. I ran out of his room and bumped into Anna.

“Alise, what’s wrong?”

“You knew about me and Conor Anna, you were supposed to be my best friend…How could you do this to me.” I began crying and shoved past her. At least I know what I know what I want to sing this week…
