Chapter 3

New Playmate...?

I watched in amazement a The Lord Death. He was nothing like I imagined. I walked into the Death Room and he first thing my senses caught was a really loud comical voice. I said: "Hiyaa! How are you all doing? Oh is that the new student?" I stayed in the same spot with my mouth. Wow... I did not expect him to be so... well.... Comical... I was trying to resist laughing but it was really amusing. I looked over at Fate and I can tell she was amazed too... I grabbed her hand so that neither of us were standing there like idiots. I dragged us both up next to Lord Death and introduced both of us.

"Hi.. Uh.. I'm C, and this is my meister Fate. We are new students." Okay good.. Just keep it nice and simple. Lord Death nodded goofily then noticed Kid behind us.

"Hiyaa, Kid! Did you need something?" Kid shook his head then gestured to me and Fate.

"I was just helping them out." Lord Death nodded again and explained to us how the school works.

Once we got our schedules, we both headed to the bulletin board that had all the missions. The classes were already done so we wanted to see how the missions go. We decided to pick one that has what seems like a kishin terrorizing a village.. It seemed easy enough for our first time. Anyway we took the job and started heading out to the village.

Once we got to the village, we talked to a couple people who explained that the kishin appeared every Monday at exactly 7 o'clock. I am hating this kishin more and more... Why 7? 7 is asymmetrical scum! It should be 8! I was mentally fighting with the kishin because it chose 7, instead of 8. Then I noticed Fate was waving her hand in front of me attempting to get my attention. I focused on her and she told me to turn into a weapon. I had no clue what was happening but I figured the Kishin came, so I turned into the blade. Fate pointed me at something but I wasn't really paying attention.. I was distracted.. Something was wrong... I couldn't move at all. I was stuck in weapon form and I was completely enveloped in darkness. I looked around trying to see what was happening with Fate but there was nothing there... Anywhere.. I screamed for Fate but there was no response. I started walking forward but it was still just complete emptiness.. That's when I heard Fate scream my name.

"C! C, are you okay?!" I started running but the voice was coming from up.. I didn't know what to do.. I fell to my knees, but that's when I felt a presence. I looked up and there was this little red creature in front of me. I cocked my head and he smiled. Then a door appeared and I ran past the little devil and into the room. I saw a window and there I saw Fate with a whole bunch of cuts and soon to be bruises. I screamed: "FATE!! What happened?!" She looked down at me and said: "Where did you go?! I can't fight this kishin without you!"

"I'm sorry, but I'll tell you later! For now we have a kishin to kill!" She nodded and ran towards it. Fate jumped and held the sword above her head. I focused on matching our souls and my sword grew longer and ended up going straight through the Kishin's head. I smiled and switched to my human form. We cheered for our win and I walked up to the soul and swallowed it. Yum I can never get enough of those. They are really good. That was when I heard a whooshing sound and looked up. There hovering on a skateboard, was Asymmetrical Yellow Eyes, or Kid. He was holding twin pistols again and I figured that was Girl #1 and Girl #2, or Patty and Liz. I waved and Kid came down to the ground. I was impressed by the flying skateboard, I admit, but come on, it's not like you see those all the time. He walked over to us and explained why he was here.

"My father told me to come make sure you guys aren't dead." Wow... Okay... I looked at him skeptically but I noticed he wouldn't even look at me. I shrugged it off though. We all started heading back, Fate and I getting a nice run, and Asymmetrical Yellow Eyes cheating and flying on his skateboard.

"Hey!" Asymmetrical Yellow Eyes yelled at us. We all stopped and Kid landed in front of us.

"Do you guys maybe want to come over for a while to hang out..?" Kid looked at us awaiting our answer. Fate and I looked at each other and shrugged.

"Sure, that'll be cool." Fate said. I nodded, agreeing. So Kid led the way and we all headed over to his house.. Once we got to his house I stood in front of it looking up at the mansion he calls house for about five minutes. Woah.. It's huge. Fate and I don't even have a house.. We have a tiny apartment. Kid gestured for us to walk in with him. I noticed he always had his hand in his pocket. He looked cool when he did that though. Anyways, we all headed into the giant house and the first thing I noticed was amazing... It was all perfectly symmetrical. I felt like I was gonna scream and cry in joy, but instead I bit my lip. Kid looked back at us, or well Fate since apparently I have a newfound power of invisibility. Cool! NOT! Why is he being such a jerk now? Ugh.. Boy's are stupid.. But whatever.. It's not like this is news to me. Anyways, we walked into his living room and the first thing Asymmetrical Yellow Eyes did was magically bring out a measuring tape and made sure all the pictures were perfectly symmetrical.. That does it.. I'm gonna tell him his hair is not even a little symmetrical!!

Hiyaa! It's the author Key again! This chapter is long but I was trying to have a moment between C and Kid.. Oh well.. I'll have to do it in the next chapter after their conversation about Kids asymmetrical hair. That's gonna be a lotta fun to write btw. I'm ridiculously excited and I'll try to write the fourth chapter as soon as I can. A lots going on in life though... UGH WHY DOES LIFE HAVE TO GET IN THE WAY OF ME WRITING FANFICTION, AND WATCHING ANIME, ANDREADING MANGA!! Ugh.. You know what I say..? Fuck life! Fuck it right in the ass! XD okay I'll go now.. I'll try to put up the next chapter as soon as I can, but for now BYEEE!!
