Roasted chicken. Emily loved roasted chicken. It was her favourite food of all time. She could have survived her whole life with only roasted chicken. And she wanted it badly. With her stomach growling every three minutes while she was mining obsidian, all she could think was that she was going to go eat roasted chicken once she and Jake were finished mining out all their obsidian for their nether portal.
"Hey Jake... do you like roasted chicken?" asked Emily in a dreamy voice.
Jake paused, his pickaxe in midair. "Uh sure. Roasted chicken is good. Has a good taste and affordable also. Goes real good with that baked potato. Heh heh." While the words of roasted chicken poured out of Jake's mouth, he was closely admiring Emily's dreamy lips and her beautiful coco-bean-coloured hair in those lovely sweet strands. He noticed that his mouth was open wide and drooling with awe. Not. Good.
"Jake, close your mouth! I know you want the fantastic, yummy, delicious chicken but I also know that you want your treasure. After we mine this obsidian, how 'bout we go back up and build that portal in the house while I make some yummy, delicious, scrump-dily-umptious roasted chicken?" Emily asked in a soothing tone.
"Uh ya sure," answered a distracted Jake as he watched Emily admiringly as they continued mining.
Emily was getting a weird feeling. The desire for chicken and the looks that Jake was giving her were being tangled with each other. For some reason, she also wanted... him? "Jake, what are you looking at?" asked Emily, her eyes in the form of narrow slits.
"Um nothing, just really pumped up for that yummy chicken!" exclaimed Jake as he turned away from Emily to hide his blushing face.
After 5 more minutes of mining, the two had finally collected enough obsidian and agreed to go back to their base, a three-story wooden house with a kitchen, bed rooms, gardens and multiple farms. They slowly made the trek up to their mine using the stone of the mine as a staircase. The two just couldn't understand it. Why were they always thinking of each other? It would be ridiculous to consider that they... were... in... love? What was love but a stupid concept thought up by Notch, the great creator of Minecraft and the only being having access to the next dimension where true love and real emotions existed. Notch himself told the citizens of Minecraftia that what was thought of as Emotion was only an illusion invented by their enemy, the evil Herobrine. If they wished to experience a true life of Emotion and reality, they would have to save up enough diamonds. Only those with a great wealth of diamonds and emeralds were taken along with Notch on his visits to the Real World or more known as by the citizens of Minecraftia as the "Outside". What they were experiencing was probably just them and their ultimate obsession for roasted chicken. Their stomachs were howling for roasted chicken.
"Chicken!!! Chicken!!" growled their stomachs.
"So um Emily, how much uh obsidian do you have?" asked Jake, one hand scratching his back in embarrassment.
"Um..." Was Jake stumbling over words? The infamous Jake and his smooth-talking mouth? Stumbling over words? thought Emily. "I think I have 7 obsidian. How about you Jake?" asked Emily with the most beautiful smile Jake had ever seen.
Jake stumbled and tripped over his feet. He fell face first onto the floor of the mine. "Ow..." In the distance, the dull slaps of slime could be heard throughout the mine.
"Need help?" asked Emily, holding out her hand.
"Sure," replied Jake taking the girl's hand.
All of a sudden, Jake fell face first again with a giant slap of skin and green substance.
"Jake, what the hell was that!?!?" screamed Emily. "JAKE!! Your face!!! Ewwww!!!"
Jake got up with a jerk. All he could see was a mad green substance on his face. It covered his eyes making them only see the colour green.
In fright, Emily took her hand and slapped Jake's face with full force.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!?!?!?!" screeched Jake as he fell onto the floor of the mine for the third time in a row.
With a sorry look, Emily apologized, "Sorry, I did what first popped in my mind... At least that green stuff came off."
Jake's face was not happy. With at least 5 scars on his once perfect face, he was fuming red like a pumped up block of redstone.
"Uh huh yeah Emily, terrific!!! Let's get..." started Jake but then all of a sudden the already anxious pair plummeted again into pure darkness.
