AN: I've decided that I'm going to dedicate chapters to the people who post the best comments. So this chapter is dedicated to Puppydude for his awesome comment, "You lie you say that its not very exciting I picked this over Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix like it was a no brainer." Thanks Puppydude! Now, on with the story!

Chapter 6: The Attack and the Cost - Luke's POV

I had a chat with Beckendorf on the way back to the Chaos Cabin.

'Hey, Blaster,' I smirked, 'nice moves in there.'

He threw his head back and laughed, 'I only wish Percy had come in a little later. I was having so much fun taunting those Ares kids.'

Silena caught up with us and wrapped her thin arms around Beckendorf's larger one, 'I left there thinking they were going to kill you. I never thought that you'd do something like that,' she giggled, 'Impressive.'

He smiled happily and lent down to kiss her. I pretended to gag and Silena punched me in the shoulder. Ever since Percy brought them both back from the dead, they'd started dating again. Silena had long since forgiven me for using her as a spy and getting her boyfriend killed.

Percy glanced back and saw Silena and Beckendorf. I couldn't see his face but I could tell he was smiling underneath his hood. I jogged to catch up with him, leaving Silena and Beckendorf talking in hushed voices.

'So,' I said once I'd caught up.

'So,' he repeated. I could hear the wariness in his voice. Heck, we were pretty much brothers. He knew where I was going with this.

'That was Xavier, huh?' I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye.

I heard him sigh. Yep, he definitely knew where this was going. 'Yeah, that was him.'

I had a bright idea, 'Can I go and beat him up?'

He stopped and looked at me, utterly bewildered. What can I say, I am bewildering. (AN: Is that a word; bewildering? Oh, meh)

'Why?' he said, shocked.

I rolled my eyes, 'Well, 'cause he was the one who messed up my brothers life and made him miserable, duh!

He chuckled. It was good to hear him do that. He hadn't been very cheery since we got here.

'Maybe,' he sounded weary and tired. I wondered how much sleep he'd got lately. 'I think it was enough to see Beckendorf taunt him like that.'

Percy turned to me, 'Have you decided if you're going to reveal your identity yet? The gods said that they'd forgiven you.'

I shook my head, 'It's not the gods that worry me, it's the campers.'

'I know heaps of them forgave you when you sacrificed yourself to defeat Kronos. I was around to see it.'

I grimaced, 'Maybe. I-I gotta think about it.'

He nodded in understanding. Then he slung his arm around my shoulders, 'Come on, brother. Lets go see the others.'

I laughed and slung my arm around his shoulders too. We were on our way back to the Chaos Cabin when we heard the first scream.

Percy's POV

Luke and I swung around, our weapons already out. Current twitched in my hand, eager for battle. Silena and Beckendorf ran up to us.

'What's going on?' Silena said breathlessly.

Then we heard the scream again. Followed by another, and another.
