Kellin was back at watching me the next day, a sketch book in hand, sitting on the floor and staring at his book concentratedly. I smile at his focused state, his eyebrows furrowed together as he concentrates on shading his drawing, and he glances back at me before looking back down.

"How are you?" Kellin asks, startling me, and I look at him, smirking.

"I'm good, and how are you?" I ask, and he nods, smiling and looking back down at his drawing. I turn back around to paint the other half of the house, where his second balcony was located, but i'm interrupted by him tapping on the glass. I whip around to face him, and he stands up gently, opening his glass sliding door, for the first time, ever.

"Hold on, before you say anything, breathe." I say, and he breathes in the fresh air, smiling a little. He looks around, and I go inside, smiling.

"I'll take you outside, sometime this week." I say, and he gives me an astonished look, blinking.

"Really?" He whispers, and I nod, smiling.

"Are you sure?" He asks cautiously, and I chuckle, nodding.

"San Diego is beautiful, you have to go outside sooner or later, and I want to be the one to take you." I say, and he nods, smiling a little. He quickly hands me his notebook, and I smile brightly, his shyness very, very evident.

"I think it could be a new art project for school or something but I drew a picture of you painting my balcony, I know it's horrible but yeah." He says, staring down, and I smile at the picture. It was detailed and intricate, and I loved it.

"Kellin, this is amazing. Have you ever canvas painted?" I ask, and he nods, pulling me around his gigantic room to show me a wall covered with canvas paintings, that he did.

"I hope you don't mind taking a small break." He says nervously, and I shake my head, smiling at all his paintings.

"Not at all, this is great." I say, gently picking up a painting of roses that he made, and he stares at me, scared.

"I'm not that good, you can criticize if you want. I get also if you don't want to get to know me that much." He says, and I shake my head, smiling and placing the painting on the wall in it's correct place.

"No, you're paintings are amazing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And also, I love getting to know you, so really, you'll be seeing more of me." I say, and he smiles brightly.

"Really?" He asks, his eyes twinkling, and I nod, smiling.

"Give me a pen and paper." I say, and he scurries to his desk to get me one, returning with it. I quickly write down my number, and I hand it to him, smiling.

"Text me, alright? Tonight." I say, and he blushes, nodding. At that moment, at the end of our conversation, i'm called by Mrs. Quinn.

"Victor, we have to talk!" She calls, and I give Kellin a bright smile before leaving his room and sliding down my ladder, down to the ground.

"Hey, Mrs. Quinn." I say, and she smiles brightly, handing me my pay.

"I won't be here from Friday through Monday, is it okay that you don't work those days?" She asks, and I nod.

Then, a brilliant idea pops into my head.

I can make Kellin spend the weekend with me.

"Definitely, Mrs. Quinn, that's okay." I say, and she smiles.

"Thank you so much for understanding, call me if you need anything, alright?" She says, and I nod, smiling.

"I'll see you, Mrs. Quinn!" I say, jogging to my truck, and she nods, smiling and turning to attend her house. I look up at Kellin's balcony once more, to see him standing there, watching me. I wave to him, and he runs away, probably embarrassed that I had caught him.

Such a cute boy, he is.
