"Vic! Lookie! We're at the top of a ferris wheel!" Kellin squeals excitedly, and I laugh, holding him tighter as he leans against me and takes many, many pictures. Today, I look him to the carnival, where we had fun all day, and now the sun was setting, which means back home soon. We were both so exhausted, but for good reasons. We both loved today.

"Yes, sweetheart, we are." I say, and he smiles brightly, curling back up into me comfortably and watching the world around him, the ferris wheel moving slowly. I stare down at him, smiling as he places a hand to my chest and closes his eyes.

"Today was absolutely amazing, i'm stuffed with cotton candy and fries." He giggles, and I laugh, running my fingers through his ebony hair.

"I am too, and tomorrow is going to be another absolutely amazing day. I'm taking you to San Fransisco, and we're going to stay in a hotel for that night." I say, and he gasps, looking up at me.

"Really? Can we get drunk?" He asks, and I laugh, shaking my head and smiling.

"No, Kells, we aren't getting drunk, you aren't even at age yet. You have a good few months to go. I don't want you to start so early, okay?" I say, and he nods in understanding.

"Okay." He says, and I take one of his hands, gently lacing my fingers through his. I squeeze his hand, and he does the same to me, making me smile.

"Do you drink?" He asks curiously, and I look down at him once again.

"Sometimes, but I do like beer." I say, and he nods slowly. He squeezes my hand gently.

"Are you a virgin?" He asks, and I sigh a little, shaking my head. No, I wasn't. And I really hated that I wasn't.

"Kinda the same story as you, but I hate talking about it." I say, and Kellin snuggles me, hugging me tightly and making me smile.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it now, but when you do, I want to know." He says, and I pull him on my lap, hugging him back tightly. I loved that he was so understanding about how I felt.

"Thank you, Kells." I whisper, and he nods, opening his eyes to watch the rest of the ride. When we get to the landing, we leave the cart, and we start walking towards the exit of the closing carnival.

"This was so great, Vic, thank you for this." He says, staring up at me, and I lift him up, feeling small drops of water land on me. He notices too.

"You're very welcome, sweetheart, but I think it's gonna thunderstorm." I murmur, and the rain gets heavier, making Kellin squeal.

"Vic!" He yells, and I laugh, taking off towards my truck with Kellin in my arms. The rain gets heavier, and I laugh harder, watching as Kellin tries to shield himself as I keep running. I finally arrive at my truck, setting him down, and we scramble to get inside, listening as thunder booms outside.

"That was a good shower." He chuckles, and I smile at him, pulling off my wet flannel and throwing it to the back seat. I turn on the heat, starting the car, and I notice that the rain starts to get heavier, and heavier.

"Kells, how about we stay at a hotel tonight, too? I have your clothes in the back and a change of mine, and to get home is really far away, considering we aren't at our part of San Diego." I say, and he nods, smiling.

"Sounds good, Viccy."
