Kellin wakes up slowly, groaning softly and turning around in his hospital bed, and I widen my eyes, more than happy that he was awake. I've been here all night, waiting for him to wake up after his sleep medication wore off, and I haven't gotten any sleep. I was too worried about him.
"Kells, baby boy, you're awake." I whisper, and he holds his arms out, letting me crawl into the hospital bed with him and hold him tightly. He sniffles a little, clearing his throat, and I look down at him.
"I'm sorry." He says softly, and I look at him with a confused look on my face. He had nothing to be sorry for.
"You have nothing to be sorry for, baby, nothing to apologize for, nothing to explain. I'm just so happy that you're okay, and i'm so happy that you aren't going to see those two sisters ever again. Your mom sent them away, and you get to stay with me." I say, and he smiles, his eyes twinkling.
"Really?" He asks, and I nod, smiling.
"Which means a lot more trips for us, all I have to do is finish my painting job. And Kellin, you know I paint, everywhere, right? That means I won't be home for hours at a time, is that okay?" I ask, and he nods, smiling softly.
"As long as I can have you whenever you're not working, then that'll make up for it." He says, hugging me tightly, and I hold him tighter, happy to have him back in my arms.
"I'm really sorry you had to hear and see all of that, too." He says softly, and I smile brightly, shaking my head. Little did he know, that was the most adorable thing in the world, the way he wrote about me, and the way he sings and dances around his bathroom.
"Oh, no, baby boy, that was the most adorable thing in the world, I hope you really get comfortable enough with me to parade around the house in lingerie." I say, and he looks up at me, his eyes wide.
"Really?" He asks, shocked, and I nod, smiling brightly.
"Yes, it was great. Don't be embarrassed because of it, it was amazing." I say, and he sighs in relief, smiling brightly.
"Oh, fuck, I was going to shatter into a million pieces if you told me you were disgusted by it, thank you." He says, and I shake my head, smiling and kissing his forehead.
"I'd never be disgusted by you, Kellin, ever." I say, and as we lean in to kiss each other, we're interrupted by the room door opening.
"Is Kellin okay? Are you okay?" Mike says, rushing into the room with a toddler in his arms, and the toddler giggles, making me smile, but tense at the same time.
"Yes, Mikey, i'm okay, let me hold the cute little baby!" He coos, and Mike laughs, smiling and nodding. He gives me a look, and I widen my eyes.
"He's so adorable!" Kellin coos, sitting up, and Mike smiles. I smile at my son, and Theo giggles more as Mike places him in Kellin's arms.
"Hello, baby boy! Aren't you the cutest thing? He's so tiny, and, and, aww! Aww, and look at his hair, he has little curly hair, and he looks like Vic!" Kellin giggles, and he stops in his tracks, looking at Mike, and then me. Mike gives me a nervous smile before leaving the room quickly, and Kellin holds the baby up, holding his tiny hands gently.
"Vic, can you explain, please?" Kellin asks, deadly calm, and I sigh, sitting up with him as Kellin gently adjusts the hospital bed so he was still laying down, but sitting up just enough so Theo can sit on his lap.
"Kells, I have a son. He's two years old. His name is Theodore Tyler Fuentes." I say quickly, and he gently strokes the baby's cheek with his finger, not looking at me.
"I know it was wrong of me not to tell you, but you know that I had a girlfriend in the past. When I was eighteen, we had drunk sex, and she became pregnant. I really, really miss him, I rarely get to see him, and I really want him to grow up with his own d-dad, I-I-" I start, being cut off by Kellin gently kissing me, and I sniffle, covering my face in my hands.
"Vic, it's okay, baby, it's really okay." He says softly, and Theo starts to whine a little, signaling that he wanted me to hold him. I gently take my son in my hands, kissing his cheek gently, and he smiles, clapping gently and making me smile.
"I just love him so much, and I hate that I only get to see him once every three months, but I know that he lives a happy home with Leona. If she dares hurt my son, i'm not hesitating to take custody of him." I say, smiling at my son, and Kellin smiles, watching me as I gently kiss Theo's nose.
"You're not mad at me, right?" I ask, and he shakes his head frantically, kissing my cheek gently.
"No, not at all. You're a wonderful father, Viccy." He says, and I look at him.
"You really think so?" I ask, and he nods, smiling brightly as Theo crawls on his lap again.
"I know so. I want to keep Theo for as long as I can, too. He's so cute." Kellin giggles, and I smile, watching them. Mike comes back into the room, smiling.
"Theo really likes Kellin already." Mike says, and I nod, smiling brightly. They both made me so, so happy.
"You have to bring him back on Wednesday, right?" Mike asks, and I nod, sighing. That means I only had two days with my son.
"No, I wanna keep him." Kellin says, pouting, and I laugh, Theo playing with Kellin's hair gently.
"How I wish I can keep him, too, but he's not in my custody, sadly." I say, and Kellin pouts more, Theo staring at him in awe.
"I have to call Mrs. Quinn and ask for some days off." I murmur, and Kellin places a hand on my leg.
"Two weeks." He says, and I nod, dialing her number and calling her. She picks up immediately.
"Vic! I'm already on my way, I know what you're calling about, take as much time as you need off before you return to work, please. And take good care of Kellin for me, we'll talk more when I get there!" She says, hanging up, and I smile.
"I wanna go home." He says, Theo laying on his chest comfortably and staring at me, and I poke Theo's side gently, making him laugh.
"Yeah, I do too, I need to spend some time with you guys." I chuckle, laying back and looking at Mike, who was smiling like an idiot.
"Go away." I laugh at him, and he smiles, shaking his head.
"I really adore all three of you." He giggles, and I roll my eyes.
"Kellin, please take a nap with me and Theo, I have not slept in thirty-two hours." I groan, and he give me a knowing glare before placing Theo gently between us and making me smile.
"I know, I know, i'll catch up at home, just sleep." I chuckle, and we all fall asleep slowly, happier than ever.
