Dr. Smiley POV

He was back hungry for blood, death, anything he could put his hands on. His rage pointed to me. Lord have mercy on me, as this man wanted me to die were I stood. I looked at the board calmly as the guy moved his chess piece closer to my Knight. The two girls stood on the side lines as me and my opponent fought in a game of chess. Sarah thought of it was the best to get me and this Nathan guy to bound like brothers in my case I won't even get to that point but if it was for her I'd try to make this woman happy even if it costs a lot of my time.

The other female was more girly, addictive personality, even a bat of her eyes she could take any guy in seconds but not me. I was more into the reckless, advantages type. Although Sarah had excided my taste in more ways than one. I thought it worried that I'd fallen in love with a human of all species, having a choice of demon, God, or poltergeist.

Nathan kept a straight face even his speech patterns gave off the idea of a well trained lawyer or an FBI agent. I knew these as a threat same as it was not uncommon to know such things when your always on the run. Even though, I was once human, never got the feeling of regret to say the least. Then again my old life was a bore knowing one day I'd die. Everyday seemed like a fruitless task at the time but now was more a little with everything heighten. It usually happens when you become a monster like me.

I glanced up to the window seeing nothing more than a, pitch black screen, I got up made a swift motion, then grabbed Sarah's bag. When I turned around Nathan had placed his head down in defect, chuckling on the inside hiding my pride on my face, the women realized that I had won the game cheering for my success.

Sarah was the most pleased and I couldn't help but smile at her. It felt weird that my chest hurt, my blood pressure spikes when I see this human woman smile. It was highly improper. Especially since I work for anyone's service. I know that this feeling is known for falling in love but the data on this was never in my life or previous one. What was it that made me feel for her was her smile. Sure she has a curve but that wasn't what made me feel for a human.

"Hey doctor!" The other girl smiled. I looked up to her she began to shake my hands "Take good care of Sarah for us"

"Cathy!" Sarah playfully hit her. The girl smiled sticking out her tongue then moved to the door, most likely to get back home. While the guy stood there looking almost saddened by what Sarah and I will do in the few seconds to come. I almost felt his pain if I were in his position of seeing her leave me. Nathan stood up walked over to Sarah hugged her tight, I looked away to let them part fairly, even if I didn't like the idea of another man touching her. I glanced over once more to see Sarah have tears in her eyes I wanted to break, dissect, or fix what made her cry. Unfortunately I do and I don't think I can take care of her by myself since I've been out of that business for a while. I wanted to hold her in my arms to keep her safe and have that smile when I first meet her but I had to stay strong for her sake.

"Nathan..." Sarah choked on her words but she kept a smile on her face baring any unforeseen emotions "make sure Ben is feed" he nodded then patted her back.

I cut in though holding her close "We don't have to much time they're going to be here soon" Sarah looked at me giving a small smile nodding slowly. Nathan went over to the door then sighed softly saying those last words to me and me alone.

"Hurt her I break those hands of yours"

I chuckled softly.

"So what now doctor?" Sarah sighed out most of the tears she wouldn't let out. I smiled admiring her strength then replied with a question "Where do you see the monsters in the dark?" Sarah shrugged completely giving no thought to it. I managed a chuckle.
