Bad News

Dr. Smiley's POV

Sarah had fallen asleep in my arms she was, as mortals would say, cute. I relaxed by scanning the room, noticing that she had left the door ajar. Yet I cared less on who listened as long as Sarah was safe and happy I gave no thought. A smile tugged on my lips not one of those smiles I force with other humans but a more life like smile that when I was human myself. What made me wonder was that I was smiling because of this woman.

I picked her up carefully placing her in bed. It wasn't the best to sleep on but it was still useful. Looking around I couldn't find a blanket then again I never thought of using one. So with my mind on her I went out the door to find a blanket that no one was using. Most likely Ben's room. Ben was more of harmless phantom with all the reasons of a six year old. I cared not for him as he march and cried for games or was contently in his room. Even the fact he thinks he could sleep bothered me. He was a very curious creature. I'll need to experiment on him one of these days.

When entering his room the first thing that came to my nose was mildew and ob. I covered my nostrils feeling dizzy and the brief motion to gag. Even I had my weakness.

"Dude what ya doing?" The childish voice called out. I felt too sicken by the oder I didn't speak but the blonde elf spoke "oh man its the doc what did ya miss me? Or did you want to make love?"

I tried very hard not to breath but the elf kept talking "Doc what's wrong the smell too much for ya?"

I slowly nodded. My lugs tightened up, I needed air and now. The elf smirked "To bad your not like me. You never need to breath"

I'm so gonna kick his ass.

I couldn't hold my breath anymore letting out I gasped but began gagging only to hear Ben laughing at me. I grabbed his collar pinning him to the ground.

"I'm only gonna ask you once" I growled "Where do you want my throw up to go on your body?"

Ben cried out in terror pleading. I pressed my other hand to his neck I knew I couldn't really kill him like mortals but I could knock him out. It wasn't a lot but its better than nothing.

Unfortunately, someone had heard Ben's wining giving other standards as Jeffery ran up pulling us apart. He forced us to be away looking at us yet thought of nothing when he saw me only to turn to Ben. Jeffery wanted a story and Ben provided him his half as I cared less and looked down the hall. My mind wondered to Sarah. Was she cold? Did she wake up to only see she was alone? I wanted to walk back but Jeffrey pulled me down to the present task.

"Mr. Woods I have no time or the patients to stand here and tell you what I did or did not do." I stated. Yet the smiling man growl dissatisfaction in his dual eyes. He gave me no emotions but I thought back to Sarah and how he gave them all. My face grow hot realizing he had touched her. I pushed him losing any kind of respect.

I stepped up to him upper cut making him stumble as I moved closer, my fist connecting his cheek. I kicked onto his chest making him land on his back, he wined at the pain but I didn't give him anytime to get up so I began kicking his face. Jeff was most likely in shock but I didn't wait as I got on top of him hitting the nonexistent nose over and over.

Jeff must have gain hold of himself as he punched me square in the chest knocking the air out of my lungs. He flipped us over getting on top holding on to my neck squeezing hard. I started kicking, throwing punches, even scratching. Yet he was unfazed by anything I tried. Started gasping, I began to lose vision my throat drying up. I was slowly dying yet again.

"Enough!"

My breath came back fast in seconds as something lifted Jeff off the floor. I chocked looking up to see a faceless creature in a tuxedo with a blonde boy huffing by its side. Jeff was right above the faceless man struggling to get lose, I just glared got up at them both.
