She tiptoes through the hallways as she makes her way over to the stairs, eager to meet up with her new friends. Her white paws patter against the cold stone floor while she races towards the doors that separate her mother's home and the rest of the vast underground. She reaches the doors and doesn't hesitate for one second as she pries open the stone and leaves for Snowdin.
Meanwhile her mother is still sleeping whilst snoring loudly in her room, she kicks off her blankets while she sleeps and eventually the cold temperature gets to her and she rises up from her bed. She feels rather thirsty and decides to go get herself some water. She walks down the hallway and passes Heartfelt's room, she opens the door expecting to see her daughter sleeping soundly beneath her blanket but it surprised when she sees that the bed is empty.
"Heartfelt, my child? Where are you?" Toriel says, she is beginning to worry.
Toriel walks through the hallways, hoping to find her child, but this search is futile. She leaves her home for the moment and looks out into the yard, nothing is to be seen except for the dead tree surrounded by its red leaves. Toriel starts to panic, the thought of losing yet another child fills her mind. She stands in the doorway for a moment, until she hears the sound of a door closing. It's coming from the basement. Toriel races to the stairs, hoping to find some sign of her daughter. She runs through the dim purple stone hallways and reaches the doors, there is small rock keeping the door open as cold air blows through. She wants to stay here just in case Heartfelt returns to her home, but if Heartfelt had left to the rest of the underground Toriel had to retrieve her. She hastily opened the door and walked the length of the hallway all the way to a cave-room and then through the purple wooden doors that led to a path to Snowdin.
In Snowdin, Clarendon and Heartfelt and walking through the woods together, Clarendon's hand interlocked with Heartfelt's. Sans had to put Papyrus to bed, explaining it was past the taller skeleton's bedtime. There was a peaceful quiet in the forest, the girls did not exchange many words, but they found comfort in each other's company. Heartfelt would have denied it at the time, but she thought that she might be starting to develop more than platonic feelings for this girl. They stopped at the doors to the ruins.
"So that's where you live, huh?" Clarendon inquired of the monster.
"Yep..." Heartfelt answered, "It's a small place and it can get really boring after a while, that's why I decided to leave yesterday night."
Clarendon nodded knowingly, it was getting late and Heartfelt offered to walk Clarendon home, the skeleton accepted and the pair made their way back to Snowdin, they walked down the street exchanging pleasant conversation with each other. They arrived at the house Clarendon shared with her brothers and Heartfelt said goodbye.
"When can I see you again?" Clarendon said.
"I should be able to come tomorrow, ok?" Heartfelt smiled.
"Got it." Clarendon said.
