Clarendon finished off her fries and Heartfelt finally worked up the courage to ask her to speak with her privately. Heartfelt took a deep breath and sighed.
"C-Clarendon? I...I wanted to tell you something..." Heartfelt said softly.
"Yeah?" Clarendon said casually.
"I'd rather talk about it in private..." Heartfelt said.
"O-Oh, ok." Clarendon nodded.
The skeleton followed Heartfelt out of the door of the pub and she followed her down the snow covered pathways of Snowdin. They stopped at a secluded part of the forest, the snow sat umoving upon the branches of dead wood.
"Clarendon...the thing I wanted to tell you...I-I, well...I...I like you...Clarendon." Heartfelt said, her face a bright red blush.
"I-I like you too..." Clarendon smiled.
Heartfelt was met with a crashing wave of emotion, she was surprised and excited then anxious and panicked in the next second. She smiled nervously.
"I mean, more then friends, you know...?" Heartfelt sighed, her breaths coming out jagged from her nervousness.
"Yeah, I feel the same way," Clarendon, her cheekbones dusted with a purple tint, "I've felt the same way for a while now..."
Heartfelt's eyes lit up, she was elated at the discovery of how Clarendon felt about her, it was almost too good to be true. Her nervous energy quickly left her and she realized just how tired she was. Clarendon smiled and took Heartfelt by the hand, the other monster blushing at the touch.
"Hehe, how about I walk you back to your mom? You look pretty tired." Clarendon giggled.
Heartfelt nodded sleepily, leaning closer to Clarendon and resting her head on her shoulder.
