Heartfelt absentmindly poked her slice of snail pie with her fork. Her mother sat across from her, a concerned look on her face.
"Child, is there something troubling you?" Toriel asked.
"Mom, I wanted to ask you..." Heartfelt trailed off, "Um, I...wanted to go back to Snowdin, I have a...friend there."
Toriel was taken aback by this request but responded calmly, "What is this friend's name?"
"Clarendon." Heartfelt replied.
"Clarendon you say? That name sounds familiar..." Toriel said.
Heartfelt sighs, she picks up the plate of snail pie and brings it to the kitchen where she dumps the slice of pie into the trash and washes the plate in the sink. Toriel is left alone in the other room with her thoughts.
"Heartfelt, my child?" Toriel called to her daughter.
"Yes?" Heartfelt called back.
"You really want to see this friend if yours?" Toriel asked.
"With all my heart." Heartfelt replied from the kitchen.
"Very well then, it's settled. Would it be alright if visted them tomorrow afternoon?" Toriel inquired.
Heartfelt almost dropped the plate she held in her hands, a beautiful smile graced her face she could barely contain her excitement.
"That would be awesome!" She grinned.
