CHAPTER 5

That night Kyungsoo dreamed. He dreamed of the past, of the happy moments, of the time when he was just a kid, not an omega kid. He dreamed of the times when he didn't have a care in the world. Where he was free. When he didn't know. And because he didn't know he could do anything he wanted. He dreamed of chocolaty eyes, that shined and turned to crescents with every smile. It was a sad dream because he could never go back. He could never relive those moments.

kyungsoo woke up to the sound of Baekhyun loud voice calling his name. His mind was still hazy from the dream and from something that he couldn't remember. He didn't bother replying to baekhyun, because he knew the older will eventually come to his room. In a few moments , Baekhyun came running to his room calling him," kyungsoo! Oh god you're okay. Oh thank god. Kyungs-". He stopped midsentence and came rushing to kyungsoo's side cupping his face and wiping the tears flowing from his eyes. " what happened? Kyungsoo, I'm so sorry. I tried to get to you but I couldn't. That giant wouldn't let me go. I was so worried. Kai took you and I couldn't get to you and when I finally got home I tried to call you but you wouldn't pick up. Mom wouldn't let me come to you because it was too late. Are you okay?". Baekhyun was babbling at this point but kyungsoo couldn't bring himself to lists to him. With the mention of Kai, he remembered everything. A new set of tears found their way through his eyes and he covered his face with his elbow. He curled into himself and let out small whimpers. Baekhyun's eye widened and he quickly lifted kyungsoo in a sitting position onto his lap and wrapped his arms around his friends small frame. Kyungsoo clenched his fists in Baekhyun's uniform shirt and kept sobbing. Baekhyun said reassuring words to his friend. His heart ached because kyungsoo, the strong, unbreakable omega, his friend, his brother, looked so small, looked so young ,like a chip lost from his parents. He cursed everyone responsible for his friends state. After a while the sobbing lessened, so baekhyun started to comb Kyungsoo's hair with his hand, patting his head in a comforting manner. "What happened kyungsoo?". Kyungsoo's voice was shaky and filled with emotions," K-Kai ,He's .......He's my mate. " Baekhyun only gave out a voice to encourage Kyungsoo to continue," He t-told me but, but I didn't believe him. So he told me that he could pr- prove it, then he- touched me, Baekhyun no one has ever touched me like that, I tried to push him away, he was too strong. He triggered my heat."." HE RAPED YOU?"."NO, no he didn't , he just --, Bark he triggered my heat. He really is my mate. And if he's my mate then I can't refuse him for long. Once I turn eighteen, he can take me by taking legal action. Baek, I don't want to be with him. You know how he is. I'm scared baek, I'm so so scared. What should I do? Why is the world so unfair? Why are omegas so weak? Why can't we chose for ourselves? Why?". Kyungsoo was once again back to crying and Baekhyun only hugged him tighter because that's the only thing that he could do. He wished he could do something for his friend. But he knew he couldn't do anything. That day they both realized just how cruel the world can be. No matter how much the society claims to have modernized, omegas still get stepped on and used. Baekhyun just wished that he could protect his friends.
