CHAPTER 7

The next morning, started with a rush. They were late for school and everyone was running around trying to get ready on time. Only xiumin was ready but that guy was always ready and on time. Xiumin watched with amusement, while sipping on his coffee, as luhan pounded on the bathroom door yelling at baekhyun to hurry up. Honestly they both needed to learn to take short baths. Kyungsoo came out of his room looking much better then yesterday. Xiumin gave him a bright smile and Kyungsoo smiled back. Last night they had a heart to heart and Kyungsoo had decided that he wouldn't go down without a fight, he wouldn't let Kai have his way so easily. Xiumin felt proud of him. By the time they were got out of the house they had only a few minutes before the start of school so broke into a sprint, racing each other. They were acting like kids laughing without a care in the world. Suho realized that it had been a long time since they had acted like this and he was happy that they had decided to fight for themselves. They barely made it to class in time and the teacher gave them a warning but they didn't get in trouble so it was a win win situation.

At kuch time they decided to ditch the cafeteria in favor of eating Kyungsoo's homemade lunches outside. Suho had gone to meet up with Yixing. Half way through lunch, the Kai and his group had decided to join them and were now standing in front of them.  kyungsoo had decided to ignore them and was eating his food , Kai stares at him with a calculating gaze. It was Chen who stepped forward to greet,"hellooo how is-",in the blink of an eye luhan had gotten up from his place on the bench , walked up to Kai and punched him straight in the face. Tao bit his lip to hold back a laugh but from the looks he got he wasn't that successful. Xiumin mentally face palmed. Luhan was a good friend but sometimes he was the biggest idiot. Although xiumin couldn't help but feel proud of him. Kai stumbled back ," Stay away from kyungsoo you sick fucker". Kai was surprised for a moment but then his smirk was bad in place. He took a step towards luhan who refused to back down," or what? Hmm? You know I'm just claiming what's mine. You can try but you wont be able to stop me". Kyungsoo had gotten up from his seat and held back luhan from punching the guy in the face again. Besides luhan was only able to do it the first time because Kai wasn't expecting it , kyungsoo doubted that he'd be able to do it a second time. Kyungsoo pulled luhan back and stood face to face with Kai.he pushed him back ," I'm not some THING that you own or that you can claim, you may be my mate but I don't belong to you nor to anyone else",kyungsoo had said mate like it was poison," not yet love, but soon, very soon, then ill tell you whether you belong to me or not". He caressed kyungsoo face lightly who took a step back. Luhan was fuming and Baekhyun was having a hard time holding him back," this piece of shit, ill show you" Luhan was cursing , trying to free himself from Baekhyun's hold. Kai slowly turned his eyes to luhan, "I'd like to teach you a lesson-" "Kai!", it was the first Time luhan had heard the emotionless guy,sehun speak. He held command in his voice and had said one word like a warning.Kai sighed," but I wont because Kyungsoo and SOMEONE else wouldn't like that". And then he was turning and walking away. Chen had stayed behind and taken a red rose that he was holding in his hand and placed it gently in xiumins hand with a kind smile unlike his usual smirks. Xiumin had been very surprised. It wasn't until they were out of site that they relaxed. Kyungsoo was trembling but xiumin felt proud of him. Baekhyun slapped luhan on the head, " What the hell were you thinking?", luhan rubbed his head," sorry lost control of my anger". Tao who was trying to calm kyungsoo piped up," yeah but it was fucking awesome"," suho would kill you for using curse words" " yeah but he isn't here right now so" . Even kyungsoo chuckled at that.

They were enjoying their time not knowing that it wasn't going to last.

The next day when luhan came to school he was dazed and kept his head down. He wouldn't respond when someone called his name like he was in his own little world. Xiumin had received another red rose from Chen in the morning which he had refused but had found taped to his locker. Tao had larger dark circles under his eyes than usual and Kyungsoo was still shaken up from the previous encounter. Suho was grinning like a madman and Baekhyun was just wondering who he should go to first to solve their problem.
