CHAPTER 8

Luhan had known that he was running out of time, and options. That soon enough he would have to chose someone because he had already turned eighteen and his parents were getting restless. He knew it but he tended to avoid problems until they faded away and that's what got him in this situation in the first place, where he sat in front of his parents with a file containing the complete profile of his future husband. And there was no getting out of it , he knew that because he had tried arguing , convincing, yelling , heck even begging to his parents but they had already decided. And as if that wasn't shocking enough the name on the file said " Oh fucking Sehun" . Luhan wanted to cry.

A week. That's how long he had left before he was married. Tao wished he could stop time so that this week would never end. His mother finally decided to tell him the name of his husband, " Wu Yifan". Tao had never heard of him so he hoped he was someone nice. But he doubted it. He had never met a nice or kind alpha. From his father to those alphas in his school, they were all selfish. He hoped but he couldn't help but feel as if all his hopes were in vain.

Kyungsoo felt like he was suffocating, like he was drowning. Everyday a little deeper. He wanted to run far far away where there was no Kai. Where he was free. He was going in circles avoiding his fate and he knew soon he will become dizzy and Kai will catch up. But he wanted to delay his fate for as long as possible.

Baekhyun was tired and worried. All his friends were acting like someone had stolen their puppy and brutally murdered it in front of them. Except for suho who had stopped smiling and now shared Baekhyun's concern. Kyungsoo hid in the bathroom to avoid Kai and this time he was joined by luhan and xiumin which was strange. Tao barely ate and looked sick. After a long day of the gloomy atmosphere baekhyun had enough and after school he dragged them all to xiumin and suho's apartment. He brought drinks and some snacks. " So I know something's up with all of you and the problem wont just go away you need to share it so that we can help each other. Ok?". Everyone looked awkward , sitting there unable to say their worries in the end it was Tao who cracked first," there's only a week left until the marriage. I'm scared". Luhan pulled him in for a hug. " I found out his name he goes to our school but I've never heard of him Wu Yifan.". Suho choked on his drink and started coughing. " WU YIFAN YOU CANT BE SERIOUS!". He gained curios looks from the rest. Suho sighed. " Just don't freak out okay. Wu yifan is the real name of Kris, yixings friend you know". Everyone's eyes widened. Tao looked even more terrified. That guy was scary. Nobody knew what to say. After a while luhan sighed, " my turn now I guess. My parents arranged for me to marry my fathers friend's son. And guess who it is . Oh fucking sehun. Just my luck yeah? . And when I told my parents to ask that ass because there was no way he was okay with it. They said it was being done on his accord. That jerk.". Everyone was confused because sehun was a man of few words why would he want to marry luhan because he never showed interest and he didn't even inform luhan of his intentions as if it was completely unnecessary. Jerk. " Mine is not such a big problem like theirs but you guys know that Chen used to tease me and do these strange things but then suddenly he turns all nice. I mean he gives me a rose everyday and doesn't tease me and helps me where he can and he seems almost nice". " maybe he likes you and is trying to impress you?" Suho replied." Yeah maybe but I don't know.". That day they separated with alot of unanswered questions but knowing that they always will have each others backs.
