CHAPTER 3

Chanyeol was casually leaning against a wall and Kai was standing with his arms crossed. It was obvious that they were waiting for them to arrive. Baekhyun knew that if they ran they would surely be chased and caught in no time and if they tried to fight they wouldn't be able to fight properly let alone win. They were too tired for this shit so he grabbed Kyungsoo's hand, intertwined their fingers as a sign of assurance and started walking. He wanted to go past them and he kept praying and praying in his heart for the alphas to let them pass by and to not say anything to them. But he knew his prayers weren't gonna get answered when just as they were about to pass them, Kyungsoo's wrist was suddenly grabbed and he was harshly yanked back.Kyungsoo let out a small shriek of surprise and before he could do something his vision was blocked by a giant who turned out to be Chanyeol. He could hear Kyungsoo's protests as he was dragged by Kai into an empty classroom. He tried to get through but he too was grabbed by the wrist and lead into another empty classroom. Chanyeol swiftly locked the door as soon as they entered the room. Baekhyun bit hard on the hand holding his wrist and Chanyeol let go with a cry of pain. Baekhyun examined his wrist that was slightly bruised. He cursed.The giant had strength so fighting him wasn't an option. He had to find a way to get out of here and rescue Kyungsoo. Chanyeol was looking at him with the same intense stare that made the omega in him squirm and made him uncomfortable. Chanyeol took a step towards him but he refused to back off. Another step. His heart beat quickened but he held his ground. Another step. He was internally freaking out but he showed no sign of fear on the outside. And then when Chanyeol took another step he unconsciously took a step back. Another step and he backed off some more. Just as Chanyeol was going to take another step towards him he took a side step and sprinted towards the back door. He tried to open it but it was looked he cursed his luck and was about to turn around and run to the window when a hand was slammed right next to his head. He flinched and tried to run the other side. But it was like Chanyeol could read his mind and he slammed his other hand on the other side of his head. Baekhyun was trapped he couldn't run so he did the next best thing. He knee kicked Chanyeol right on his crouch. Instantly Chanyeol dropped his hand and kneeled while groaning. Baekhyun stopped there for a second contemplating whether to ask him if he was okay or not but then he remembered it was Chanyeol and he deserved it so he sprinted towards the front door and unlocked it. Just as he stepped out of the door he was grabbed by the waist and thrown over a shoulder. Damn Chanyeol was strong . It seemed his moment of hesitation was enough for Chanyeol to recover. He thrashed around and screamed to be let down but it all fell on deaf ears as Chanyeol once again locked the door and this Time with one hand he placed two chairs right in front of each other and not so gently placed Baekhyun on one of them. But before he could get up and try to run away again Chanyeol had grabbed both his wrists as he sat down on the other chair and trapped Baekhyun's legs between his knees. They were siting face to face with only a small distance between them, legs touching. Baekhyun froze for a moment before he started thrashing around with even more force trying to free himself from the giants hands and legs. Chanyeol heaved a heavy sigh and yanked Baekhyun's wrists. That did the trick and Baekhyun stopped struggling as he became fully aware of the position he was in. He stared wide eyed at Chanyeol who had the same amused smirk on his face. Baekhyun's heart was hammering at his chest and his palms were sweating. He wanted to scream at Chanyeol to let him go but his voice had disappeared. This only amused Chanyeol more who after a few moments spoke with his deep voice that made Baekhyun shudder," You never stop struggling do you?". Baekhyun could only blink in response. Chanyeol chuckled and leaned forward,"you know with you're mouth shut you do look pretty cute.". Baekhyun's ears turned slightly red and he broke out of his trance," Shut up you asshole and let me go. Let me go you big eared creepy giant elf". He had started struggling again and Chanyeol leaned back and watched in amusement as Baekhyun struggled. He found it adoring how the smaller thought he could escape from Him. After almost ten minutes of struggling, it had finally sank in that his efforts were fruitless and futile and now his Hands that Chanyeol was holding tightly had started to shake a little bit. He was biting his lower lip and he felt humiliated and angry. He stopped struggling and kept his head down. With a shaky voice, he asked," What do you want from me?". His voice gave away all that he was feeling. He felt as if he was trash, useless, he couldn't even escape from one alpha how was he going to face a world full of them. How could he save Kyungsoo when he couldn't even help himself. Chanyeol dropped the smile from his face and sighed. "I don't want anything from you. At least not yet. I'm only here to keep you occupied". This made Baekhyun's eyes widen and he looked up at once. Shit. This was all for Kyungsoo. So that Kai could get to him. He was supposed to protect kyungsoo and now he was alone with Kai.Kai who had threatened him. Shit, shit, shit. Chanyeol was surprised to see his eyes glassy and he had started shaking now. Chanyeol at once let go of one of his hands and gently cupped his cheek, " Hey,hey its okay . Kai isn't gonna hurt your friend. He just needed sometime alone with him. He can never hurt him. After all they are mates."."MATES? ". Chanyeol nodded. " SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THEY'RE MATES?". Chanyeol heaved a heavy sigh," yes, you guys didn't know?"."NO"."That actually explains a lot of things and STOP screaming ." . Baekhyun frowned. Those two were mates?. He was sure Kyungsoo had no idea about it. So how did Kai know? . He turned to Chanyeol only to find him still looking at him with an amused grin. It made him uncomfortable but he ignored it , " How did you guys know they were mates. I mean even Kyungsoo didn't know.". " Kai could tell when Kyungsoo was in heat. The suppressants pretty much eliminate its effects but a true mate Always knows". Chanyeol had stressed the last few words as if he was employing something else too but Baekhyun refused to think of deeper meanings.They sat like that for some time. He snapped out of his thoughts when Chanyeol held up his phone to show him a message from Kai that stated that he was going to take Kyungsoo home. Chanyeol slid his phone into his pocket and stood up freeing Baekhyun's legs but he still had one of his hands held tightly. He started walking out of the school dragging Baekhyun with him. " Where are you taking me?" . " Your house" , he replied nonchalantly ," and don't protest. It's late and its dangerous for an omega to be out late. Just tell me your address". Chanyeol had a tone of finality in his words and had left no room for Baekhyun only nodded in reply and gave him his address .It had gotten dark outside. His hand was still in Chanyeol's grip and along the way he had asked Chanyeol to let go of it but Chanyeol had only ignored him. It took them twenty minutes to get to his home and those twenty minutes were spent in silence. Once they reached his hone he tried to walk in when Chanyeol yanked him back with the hand which he was still holding and took him in his embrace. Baekhyun's breath hitched, his heart beat quickened. And he couldn't move. Chanyeol's embrace was warm and soothing in a way. And Baekhyun internally slapped himself for thinking that. Before he could protest Chanyeol let go and pecked him on the check before walking away ,not even glancing back once. Baekhyun stood there dumbfounded for a few moments and then he raced inside and straight to his room announcing to his mother on his way that he wasn't hungry and to not disturb him. As soon as he closed the door he is back hit it and he ski down. His heart was racing and his cheek was burning from the touch of Chanyeol's lips. He couldn't believe or understand what had happened.He remembered how once Kyungsoo , Kai, Chanyeol and himself along with a few others used to be friends. When they were little they played together and had sleepovers buonce puberty hit and they found out what they were ( alpha, beta or omega) everything changed and they grew apart. They hadn't talked for years but a few months ago Kai had started to irritate Kyungsoo with his words and they had started having these face offs and then his happened. With shaky hands he called Kyungsoo.
