CHAPTER 9

The next three days passed in a blur of confusion, anger and fear. On the forth day Xiumin had decided that enough was enough. The environment was getting suffocating and the situation with Chen was as confusing as ever. He had asked everyone to come to school early. When he and suho reached the main gate of the school he saw that everyone was already there. he ran to them. They all looked worn out except for baekhyun and suho who were just worried. It was Tao's last day in school. His marriage was in two days and his father had decided that he should prepare for his wedding instead of going to school. he was going to return to school a week after it. After he had discovered that his future spouse was Kris he had been so tense and scared that he had fainted the one time Kris had passed by them in the hallway. Fortunately Suho had been with him and had done damage control. He had also prevented Kris from knowing what had happened, quickly taking him to the nurse. To say he was afraid was the biggest understatement of the century.  He received half hearted greetings which he returned. "Guys, I know that things are happening, our worlds are changing but that doesn't mean we have to change too. Tao is getting married. ofcourse he isn't happy about it but a person only marries once so cant we forget about the bitter things for just a short while and enjoy ourselves. Tao will be gone for a while and then soon Luhan will be getting married so why not enjoy this last day of normalcy. today lets forget about our worries and be happy like a normal teenager. so what do you say?". " hyung how long did it take for you to write that speech?". Xiumin sent a withering look to Kyungsoo and everyone snickered. "More than an hour. he was up writing till late. He wanted it to be motivational". Suho interjected between snickers. Tao snorted," Motivational my ass"."You know what do whatever the hell you want you can cry to death for all I care". Xiumin declared with a pout and started to stomp away. They all smiled at their childish eldest and ran after him. Baekhyun jumped on him," Although your speech was shit your idea was good so I agree." ."Yeah lets kick our worries in the butt for today and enjoy" tao exclaimed enthusiastically. Everyone laughed and started to make their way to class but not before tao received a smack to the head from suho for cursing. Xiumin smiled because it was nice to see them happy like this.

Xiumin arrived at the table to see Baekhyun and Tao losing their minds laughing, kyungsoo looking like he was wondering why he was even sitting with such idiots, luhan looked amused while suho was glaring at the two laughing idiots. Apparently baekhyun and tao had pranked a teacher while with suho and while they had been able to run away in time , suho had been caught, receiving a week of extra homework. Xiumin sat next to suho "why did you even get involved with these idiots". Suho groaned and Baekhyun replied between his laughs," I think your crappy speech motivated him too much because he wanted to "live like a normal teenager and prank teachers"". Baekhyun quoted suhos exact words and suho groaned and banged his head with the table. Everyone burst into a new fit of laughter. They were well aware of the looks they were receiving from a certain group but they ignored it. At sometime Tao would start looking scared again or luhan would doze of in his own world or kyungsoo would become tense like expecting kai to pop out of somewhere but then the rest would pull them close and crack a shitty joke and everything would be fine again. The day was enjoyable and after school they went to gaming station. they played, ate, ran and had the time of their lives and before parting they shared long hugs of reassurity and promised tao to be present on his wedding and to be there for him. For the first time in a long time tao went home smiling.
