Violet's POV

I open my eyes. It's Monday. The worst day of the week. On that thought, I groan.

And then, my stupid phone rings. "URGH!!! What does a girl have to do to get 5 more minutes of sleep?" I grumble as I grab my phone.

"HEY VI!!! Do you want me to pick you up later?" a sweet voice asks.

"Even though you woke me up from a beautiful 5 minutes of sleep, you are still my best friend so YES thank you," I say, grinning at my best friend's enthusiasm. Jade had been my other half since I was 6. She is also the polar opposite of me. I'm shy, quiet and an introvert. Jade is open, loud and an extrovert.

I get ready for school. I put my wig on and slip my baggy jeans on. I put on an extra large t-shirt and slip on my favourite converse.

I stare at my reflection, focusing on my black short wig and take in a deep breath. Looking at my wig is already painful enough.

Calm down, Violet. Do not think about the past. Stop thinking and go to school with Jade, your best friend.

I exhale and leave my room.

Joshua's POV

"Hey Joshua, are you even listening to me?" Mom asked, snapping her fingers in my face.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. Do I really have to listen to you?" I asked, bored.

"YES, YOU DO. I was telling you that tonight I'm not going to be home for dinner so I'm giving you money for take-out, okay? And stop getting into trouble at school! I've had enough with you getting kicked out of school. Make sure that this time school will last till you graduate, okay young man? Oh, and stop your player ways," Mom said, handing me $20.

I nodded and looked out from the window of the car. I had been kicked out of school about 5 times because well, of getting into trouble, of course. I don't really care about school, or grades but I really pissed off my mom this time and I'll just graduate high school for her sake.

Normally, if you ask me, most high school students are always nervous on their first day. But I'm different, I guess. It doesn't really take long for me to make friends.

I blinked a few times, shaking away my thoughts. Right in front of me was the new school I was going to go to.

I stepped out of the car and gave my mom a small smile. She grinned and drove away.

Great, now it's time for school.
