A/N

Hi guys! Here's another chapter for you! I'm sorry I haven't updated in like... a month... but I promise I'll try to update more often! Enjoy!

Joshua's POV

"Jade! Jade!" I pant as I run towards her. "What? What? Did someone die?" she asks me.

"Um... no one died. I just wanted to tell you that Jasmine was threatening Violet and she mentioned something about Violet's secret. Could you make sure she's okay? She was crying," I say, sighing.

"WHAT?! How did Jasmine know?" Jade mumbles under her breath. "Just make sure she's okay and please make her come tonight to Brady's house," I plead.

"Why do you want her to come?" she asks.

"I..." I try to think of something but came up with nothing.

"Whatever. I'll make her come." Jade replies as she walks away from me, determination written all across her face.

Jade's POV

"Violet!" I yell.

She turns around and I could see that her face is tear-stained. I hug her tightly and whisper, "It's okay. No one will find out. It's gonna be fine." She nods and I let her go. "But Joshua will want to find out," she whispers. "No he won't," I say, "Now let's get you cleaned up."

We stand facing the mirror and I ask slowly, "So are you coming to Brady's house tonight?" I wait for her to say no. "Yeah I'm still going. I mean, it's not fair to Brady if I don't come," she says, sighing. "Oh my gosh! Really?" I shriek excitedly. Wow, I really thought she'd say no. I don't even need to persuade her anymore.

"Okay, after school, I'm going to your place to doll you up." I say, winking at her. "Jade!" she whines, setting her wig straight. "Hey, you got a little bit of hair not in the wig..." I point out, noticing a few strands of Violet's hair coming out of the black wig. "Oh thanks," she says, tucking the strands in.

I get lost in my thoughts about her past and her hair.

"When will you ever show your real hair?" I daringly ask.

"Seriously? Do I look like I would ever reveal it? Revealing my hair reveals my secret," she says, looking at me sadly.

I shake my head.

"It's not that I don't like my real hair, I love it. But you know I can't show it. The pain is too much," Violet says, closing her eyes. I smile and hug her.

"Okay, so make-up?" I ask, winking at Violet in the mirror. "Just a little only please," she replies. "I don't like your wig, it's too short to style," I say, glaring at the wig on the table.

Violet ignores me.

"A little bit of eyeliner and blush is fine. No lipstick at all, Jade," she looks at me with a knowing expression. "Fine! Lip gloss?" I try, grinning. "JADE!" she says, glaring at me. I roll my eyes and apply eyeliner to her eyes and blush to her cheeks. Violet doesn't know it but she's actually really hot. She has perfectly shaped lips, high cheekbones and beautifully arched eyebrows. I sigh, knowing she won't show her real beauty to anyone except me and her parents.

"Okay, now that make-up's done, what should you wear?" I wonder aloud. "Um I'm just gonna wear a baggy shirt and baggy pants as usual," she answers, opening her cupboard.

"What? No! You can't wear those, you already wear them in school! Wear some shorts and crop tops or something," I suggest, pointing to her crop tops and shorts right in the corner of the cupboard. "No, that'll show the guys that I'm hiding something, which I am, but still..." she says, picking out another one of her baggy shirts and baggy pants.

I look into her cupboard again. On one side, she has like a lot of baggy shirts and pants. On the other side, Vi has her crop tops, shorts and basically what a normal teenage girl would wear.

I look at her sadly in the mirror, wondering when she will ever get over her past.

Violet's POV

Jade and I stand on Brady's porch. She takes in a deep breath and presses the doorbell. "Just come in!" I hear Brady's voice come from inside. I open the door and walk in. "Violet! Jade! You guys came!" Brady exclaims.

I snort and say, "What? You thought we wouldn't come?" He looks at me, stunned and slowly shakes his head. Jade tries to stifle her laughter behind me. "Hey Brady, do you have any Coke?" Joshua says as he appears on the stairs. "Oh! Violet! You're here," he says, looking surprised. "Why does everyone think I wouldn't have come?" I grumble and roll my eyes.

"Is that make-up?" Lucas suddenly appears and starts poking my face. "Yes, it is. Jade helped me apply make-up because she thinks this is a big deal. Now stop," I slap his hand away.

"Let's just go to my room okay?" Brady grabs 6 Coke cans from his fridge and gestures toward his room. I shrug and follow Jade up.

I look around his room. It's as boring as any other teenage boy's room.
