I was still frozen from where I was standing when I realized just know that the hallway is empty and the bell has rung minutes ago..
I quickly run because I was late for my first class. Luckily, when I have arrived at the classroom our teacher isn't there yet so I quickly occupied the seat at the last row because no one can notice me there.
"Goodmorning Class"
"Goodmorning Sir"
"Let's begin with our discussion"
I was so engulfed in listening that I didn't notice who my seatmate was. I didn't even care anyway because I never talked to any of my seatmates ever since freshmen year.
"Psst. Hey"
"Hmm?"
I didn't even bother to look at him because I was so interested on the subject that I didn't want anybody to distract me.
"I'm Gavin, Gavin Carter the one you bumped into earlier. Remember?"
I quickly looked at the seat to my left and was shocked.
"uh hi?"
"Hahaha. You haven't told me your name yet"
"Uh sorry um I'm-"
"That's all for today. Class dismissed"
Ugh. Not again.
"I got to go. I'll catch you later."
"uh yeah..."
I quickly grabbed my things and went out of the classroom. For the second time I had a chance to talk to him I was still stuttering. I went to the cafeteria to grab some food and then went to my usual spot outside to eat lunch and read my favorite book. I was almost finish with my lunch when somebody spoke.
"Hi what're you doing here all by yourself?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean don't you have friends to accompany you at lunch?"
"No. I don't have friends here I usually eat alone and It's fine with me."
"Aren't you feeling lonely? I mean that is one of the joys of having friends you have someone to talk to and have fun with."
"No. I'm used to being alone. Besides I have my mom to talk to about all of my problems in school or homeworks or about anything."
"You are lonely."
"No I'm not."
"Then who are you."
"I'm Hailey Olivia Miller. And I am not lonely and I don't need a friend who I can have fun with."
"Well sorry to tell you Hailey, but you have one now. And you can't do anything about it. I'll see you later after class."
What just happened? Gavin Carter is now my friend? And did I just told him my name?
