I nodded, "Ok, we're the Hybrids that eats everyone up then."
"Dear, Goddess!" Clayton looked up at the sky in despair.
Gabe and Jonathan patted him on his shoulder, "You've got a handful there, Lay."
"Huh?" I asked confusedly.
"Clayton-boy here," Jonathan told me, "is your Nus-Mate."
"Uh, my what?"
"Nus-Mate," Leah smiled cheerfully, "you're my brother's Nus-Mate."
"What is that?" I tilted my head to the right.
"If you have a Mate with wolves, Blood-singer with vampires, Witches with warlocks, and Succubus and Incubus with Demons, with hybrids, we have Nus-Mates." Lay said.
I stared blankly at them, "You mean my mate in my past pack is not really my mate?"
"Well, he is your mate, but Lay is more of a dominant mate than him," Gabe said flicking his hands around, making gestures.
I looked at the red headed boy, "Did you have a mate before?"
"I was born of a Vampire Coven, they made me believe I'm one of them," Lay puts his arm around Leah's shoulder, "and Leah as well. She's my twin. But, my blood-singer died."
"And, what year were you born?" I leaned forward.
"What? You think we're older than your grandparents?" Leah laughed, "We were born the same year as you."
"Ok," I breathed.
"Hey, not to interrupt or anything, but," Ren pointed at me, "her eyes are turning red."
"Son of a cow!" Clayton exclaimed, "Abelle, close your eyes."
"Why?"
"Just close them, or you'll go blind!" Lay ran to me and carried me.
I did what I was told and as soon as I did, I felt as if I was thrown on a cold lake. Wait, no, I was really thrown into a lake! He threw me in! I continued sinking and I opened my eyes, I looked at my hands, they were radiating some strange red light. I kicked the ground and felt myself rise up the surface with a growl.
"That came out better than expected," Jonathan nodded.
"Go on, walk on the water," Ren pushed me.
"What?! I would drown!" I shouted but it came out as a bark.
"You won't die," Leah told me, "all of us are gifted with immortality."
I gave out a huff and walked to the water. I closed my eyes. I won't drown. Nope, highest moon goddess! I'm too young!
"Yeah!" I heard a whoot from behind me, "You're walking on water, Abelle!"
I opened my eyes and saw that I really was walking on water! What a big miracle! Thank you, Goddesses! I ran, my paws hitting the water with a splash. Wait! Paws?!
Gabe shouted, "Don't lose your-!"
I fell to the water, as Gabe gave out a groan, "Concentration."
"I just shifted!" I shouted, "Wah! I can talk again!"
"Yes, now come here before you freeze," Lay opened his arms for me to run into.
I swam across the lake and ran to his arms, "Sorry, I got ya wet."
"It's fine," Lay smiled warmly, "but, you'll order the food."
"I can cook, you know," I told him.
"At last! Ren cooks like hell!" Gabe stretched, "It's been a long time since we've eaten home cooked meals."
"Shut up, Gabe!" Ren smacked his head.
