"Hey, I'm going for a jog around, I'll be back for breakfast!" I called out from the door.
"Sure, Bells! Take care,ok? We don't want Lay ranting on and on," Jo told me.
"Ok!" I smiled and went outside.
I did a little stretching and started to jog. The sun was still to rise so it was still a bit dark. I sighed and enjoyed the peaceful morning. I stopped for a while and heard a loud hiss and howl, then a loud cry of a baby. I ran to where that place was.
The event was shocking. Two bloody werewolves were lying on the grass. With a vampire barely breathing across the dead couple. I ran to the vampire, and knelt infront of him.
"What happened here?" I asked, my tone demanding.
His eyes widened slightly, "A progeny of the eclipse!"
"Answer me," I hissed.
I lowered his head in respect, "Please, the child behind the bush, he's also one of you, he's the first one we have seen in our entire existance. Spare him, take him with you."
I sighed muttered to myself, "And I thought it will be a peaceful jog."
"Please, I am about to be taken back by the Mother, take...care of the ch...ild," the vampire stared blankly at me as I stood up.
I took a look behind the bush and looked at the bundle of blankets. I picked it up and peaked at the baby's face. He looked a bit like Lay, and a bit like me, no one would suspect it. Somehow, I found a way of burying the vampire and 2 werewolves while carrying the child.
I started to run back to our pack house. What will Lay say? How will he react? The others? I stood before the door, the sun stared at me from the top. I took a deep breath and was about to knock when the door opened and Lay engulfed me in a warm hug.
"I was so worried!" he breathed on my ear, "You were gone since breakfast! We had to order Chinese take out!"
"I'm sorry," I told him and broke our hug, "but I came across some trouble."
Lay saw the bundle in my arms and sucked in a ton of air and asked painfully, "Who's the...father?"
"I came across a half dead vampire and 2 werewolves that were blood-coated. Parents of this child, the child is like us," I showed him the boy, "He has the same eyes, nose, and cheeks."
He smiled, "He's got your hair, eyelashes, and lips."
"We look like his parents," I smiled at him.
"Let's buy the things we need for him now," he smirked pulling me to the garage and into his car.
The car roared into life as the others ran to it, hitting the windows, but Lay laughed and drove through them. Realization dawned on me, I forgot to cook breakfast! I looked at Lay and was about to speak.
"They can fend for themselves, they're old enough." Lay interrupted, "but our son isn't capable of doing that."
"You want him?" I asked hopefully.
"No, we're going to give him away as soon as we bought him the things he needs," He shook his head.
"Lay," I stared at him blankly.
He chuckled, "What? A taste of your own medicine won't hurt."
"Ok, I would try not to do that anymore, but no promises." I told him, cradling the baby.
"Of course," Lay laughed.
