Lay chuckled, "My poor baby is hungry?"

"Uh," I bit my lip and nodded.

He smiled and pulled me back to the kitchen. I looked around and it seems like Alex already left. He made me sit on the bar stool and he went to the apron rack. He wore an apron and then, he started to...

To cook!!

"I thought he can't cook?" Alex whispered from beside me.

I shrugged, "He's a little off, huh?"

Alex nodded and then he looked at me, "Meet me by the town tonight, ok?"

I sighed as he smiled and left. I looked back at Lay, and as if it was planned, he looked at me at the same time too. He grinned and waved the spatula at me. I forced a smile then he went back working.

I pulled out my phone and texted Leah.

Hey, when did your brother learn to cook?- Belle

I put my phone back in my pocket. Lay turned to me and served the dish. Holy cow! When did--?! How--?!

"Here," he wiped his hand on his apron and prepared the food, "say 'ah'!"

I furrowed my brows and ate the food.

"That guy is not the wimp,"

I nodded and ignored the wimp part. He sighed as we stared at the night sky on the hood of his car. He turned to me and smiled as he fished his jacket pocket.

"Ta-da!" he held out a pendant with four signs.

On the top right it was a moon. The other side was the sun. below the moon was the stars and the last one were trees. The silver pendant glowed in the moonlight.

"Wow! It's so pretty!" I gasped.

Alex smiled, "Really?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

"It's for you," he said shyly.

"Really?" I asked, "Thank you so much!"

I hugged him as he chuckled.

"Here, I'll put it on you," he moved my hair aside and clasped the pendant on me.

He leaned back slightly and looked at me, "It suits you."

"Thanks," I touched it and sighed in delight.

A comfortable silence passed us as we both watched the stars.

"Did you know that I liked you when we were kids?" he looked at me and smiled.

"Really?" I chuckled, "Well, you were my first love, I gotta admit that."

He sighed, "I really don't have a chance, do I?"

"I'm sorry," I looked down.

"No, no," he puts his hand on top of mine, "it's alright, it was my fault anyway. Hm, I wonder if I didn't reject you, maybe we would have little pups destroying our house. We'd have picnics, food fights, racing, then our son would inherit my title...if I only accepted you in."

"It's alright, you can still stand as a father to Nicks and my twins," I patted my belly.

Alex brightened up, "Really?"

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Thanks," he said then he got off the hood, "well, let's head back, it's getting very late."

He helped me get off from the hood and opened the shotgun side for me. I went in and he closed the door. Then, he went to the driver's seat and closed his door.

"So, what are we going to do now?" I asked as we drove off.

He turned to me and gave me his infamous smirk,

"Where ever that gorilla goes, we follow."

Yes! I'm done! Well, not in the whole story, but the chapter.
