Chapter 16:When the Sun and the Moon collide

Kat's pov

I woke up in the mansion. In a plush dusty bed, Ness was nowhere in sight and everything was silent. I tried to sit up but a sharp pain shot though my chest. I glanced down the crystal was jabbed into my chest loosely. Without so much as a thought I gripped it tightly and pulled it free I let out a pitiful scream as I did so. I sat there whimpering clutching the bloody crystal. Finally I collected myself and sat up. I let go of the crystal and set it down. I could already feel my body shaking I couldn't breathe without it... It was my air, my heart, my very soul. It was a piece of me. I groaned lunging for it. I held it to my chest again my body filling with life once more. I limped to my dresser and pulled free a necklace, it already had a sun crystal attached but it'd have to work. I slipped the moon onto the chain almost instantly they connected. The sun fit perfectly into the moon. I stared at it for a few moments before slipping the chain over my head.

Then I fell onto my knees, it felt as though I was being shocked, struck by lightning. Drowning, flying, dying... So many things at once my hands dug into the cold wooden floor my nails leaving gashes in the wood. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I let out a silent cry my throat to raw to scream, the pain to intense to describe with a screech. I tensed again, as another wave of pain flew over me. Then again and again and again. Then it stopped suddenly. There was no trace of pain left within my body, not even a dull ache. I sat there hunched over and shaking with silent sobs. . . Then the door opened a cheerful ness stepped in. . . .

I breathed slowly, my body only increasing in shaking my silent sobs turning to loud dragged out screams. She ran over to me her smile gone replaced by panic. "Kat?!" she said loudly kneeling beside me. Her voice was so loud, making my ear drums bleed. I pushed myself away from her into the corner rocking slowly, my sobs stifled. She stood up and ran from the room her own eyes becoming teary.
