Chapter 15:A grave mistake

Kat's pov

Just the Slender,Splendor and Jeff came walking from the forest solemnly, before they even caught sight of us I clutched my crystal and held my breath, in moments the crystals glow covered me, it was like looking through water, and everything was blurred and muffled. I could see them but they couldn't see me. My crystal....my dear precious crystal... I was startled by my thoughts when had this little rock become so dear and precious to me? I watched as ness looked around frantically for me. "She was right here!" She yelled. "Don't worry if she was right here she couldn't have gotten far." Slender said reassuringly he then whispered something to the other two. They then split up running into the forest. I breathed a sigh of relief the shield around me popped away like a bubble. Ness jumped when she saw me. "Where were you?" She screamed "I never left..." I mumbled my crystal still clutched in my hands. Ness's eyes zeroed in on it. "What's that?" She asked an edge in her voice. "My crystal." I stated softly. "Let me see." She said standing up outstretching her hand. I flinched "no, it's mine. "I whispered "I'm not going to take it I just want to see it." She said reassuringly

I nodded. I reached around and tried to unhook the silver chain but it wouldn't move I tried to pull it off but it tightened around my neck like a snake choking me. Ness watched nervously. "It won't come off!" I shouted panicking slightly. Ness watched me confused. I pulled on it again hoping the chain would break finally with a final tug it did it fell to the ground. Its glow began to dim slowly. I fell to my knees feeling as though someone had ripped my very heart from my body. I struggled to breath but I could get no air. I was dying. . . Again

I saw Ness pass out in front of me, even as my vision swirled and my muscles twitched. I then passed out falling harshly onto the crystal as I fell it sliced my chest. Everything went black.
