The Awesome Hatsune Miku

Rin woke up to darkness. She looked at her digital clock on her nightstand. 2:27am. She couldn't fall asleep at all. She didn't even feel tired. Thoughts of earlier at the carnival raced through her mind. The old man, ugh. All the fast rides, those were fun. The Ferris wheel was great too. But that girl...she was so nice. Rin smiled to herself deep in thought. She rolled over on her side and cuddled her stuffed animal and closed her eyes trying to fall back asleep.
Nothing.
Rin groaned and threw her stuffed orange by her feet and it rolled off the bed. Yay.
She let out a long sigh and rolled over again but rolled too far and fell off her bed with a— THUMP!
"Ouch" Rin mumbled to herself as she got back up. Suddenly she froze. She felt as if she was being watched by somebody. "H-Hello?" She called. Nobody answered. Of course, it was probably just her imagination. She shook her head and climbed back into her bed and snuggled under her warm covers.
She felt herself finally starting to drift off and she smiled to herself.

Len's eyes jolted open as he felt himself fall to the floor. "Ouch." Len mumbled to himself and he crawled back into his bed. He let out a low growl as he layed back down more towards the wall this time. He started to fall back asleep and he suddenly felt déjà vu. But why? He shrugged it off and fell back asleep.

Rin slowly opened her eyes and smacked her lips. She blinked a few times until it processed in her mind that her mouth was the Sahara Dessert 2.0. She sighed and stood up and walked downstairs. She tiptoed through the hallway and into the kitchen. She slowly opened the cabinets and took out a small glass. She slowly closed the cabinets and walked over to the sink and quietly filled her glass with water. Everything blurred, and then the next thing she knew she was holding an empty glass.

Len slowly walked down his stairs with his flashlight pointed at the ground. He looked around and tiptoed through the hallway protectively. He heard noises coming from the kitchen and as he entered he stopped suddenly and lifted his flashlight and went face to face with Rin.

Both of them let out a tiny shriek and jumped. "Rin you scared me!" Len whisper screamed.
"You scared me!" Rin whisper screamed back.
It went silent for a few moments until Rin turned around and placed her glass in the sink and turned back around to face Len. "So..." Len started. "I guess I'll see you in the morning?"
Rin nodded. The twins walked up the stairs together quietly, hugged them parted ways to their bedrooms and went back to bed.

When they woke up, Rin went into the bathroom the take a shower and Len went on his computer and checked his emails and what not. When Rin was finished in the bathroom, she walked down the hallway in just a towel and went into her room and put on her new bathing suit and a dress over it. She observed herself in her mirror and did a few poses and walked downstairs to join everyone for breakfast.
After breakfast, Len got a shower and changed into his bathing suit. Len liked Rin's idea of going swimming. It was getting to be the end of summer and they were going to be sophomores this year; he wanted to spend his last few weeks of summer doing fun stuff before having to buckle down and focus more on school work. Not that he really minded, him and Rin were both pretty smart so he shouldn't be too stressed out. Len walked out in his swim trunks and posed for Rin, making her giggle.

Rin and Len walked down the street with all the other vocaloids following them. Len listened to all the chatter behind them and he looked over at Rin. Rin made eye contact with Len and they held hands. They heard a few cat calls from Kaito and Miku, and protests from Luka. Rin rolled her eyes and Len squeezed her hand as they kept going until they got to the pool. When they got there, Rin threw her bag down and did a cannon ball, followed by Miku and Len. The three splashed each other playfully. "Take this!" Rin yelled as she did a 360° spin, splashing Miku and Len with water making everyone giggle. "How about this!" Len yelled and squirted Rin with a water gun. Miku grabbed a floating ring and hit the twins in the head then climbed in it and floated around while Kaito pushed her.
"Hey Miku, how long did it take for you to braid your twin tails?" Teto asked Miku curiously. "Only a few minutes. About four or five." Miku answered casually. Rin's mouth dropped. "Only five?! That would've taken me forever!" Rin splashed dramatically at the water and Miku just cracked a smirk. "Well I've had long hair for...13 years now?"
Len climbed out the side of the pool and jumped and did a belly flop, splashing Rin. "Len! Stop!" Rin whined as Len's head popped out the surface. "OW! Ow that hurt!" Len held his stomach and he flinched in pain as he gently rubbed the red marks on his chest from hitting the water too hard.
"Genius..." Rin mumbled. Rin wouldn't admit it out here but she was secretly concerned about Len. She wanted to hug him but she didn't want to be judged. Or yelled at by Luka. Len exchanged glances with Rin and Rin blushed at the face Len made at her. Len smirked and started laughing at Rin, causing everyone to look their way. "What's so funny?" Miku asked. Rin blushed more and Len laughed like crazy. "Rin is blushing for no reason!" Len joked; he knew why Rin was blushing though. The face he made could make any girl's ovaries explode. (Lol)
Rin slapped Len on the shoulder and disappeared under the water and swam towards the other side. When she came back up, everyone was back to playing in the water and talking. Rin floated alone in the corner of the pool enjoying the time by herself as she floated on her back. Rin found her mind start to wander again, thinking about the carnival they went to yesterday. She was so lost in thought that Kaito had to carry her out the pool. Rin flinched and jumped out of his grasp and flipped into the water. She screamed as she fell and hir her back on something then was suddenly pulled out quickly then everything else blurred.

Rin opened her eyes and looked around and saw Len looking at her with concern. "Are you okay, baby?" He whispered. Rin nodded and sat up. She noticed a plate with a sandwich and orange slices on it, with a ramune soda and chips next to it. "Is this mine?" She asked. Len nodded. Rin happily munched on her sandwich and noticed everyone else was farther away, not even noticing them. "What happened to me?" Rin asked.
"You fell into the pool and hit your back and I pulled you out and we thought you fainted but it turned out you were just a little dazed from shock so I set you down here with me. I wanted to spend some alone time with you, ya know? Before school starts..." Len's voiced trailed off and he took another bite of his sandwich. Rin tilted her head in confusion. Did he know something that she didn't? If he did then what? "What about school?" Rin asked. Len shrugged. "Tell me!" Rin demanded.
"I'm just...afraid. Because if we show affection towards each other at school nobody would like us and think that we're strange and I don't want to avoid you...even if we have time after school it won't be long enough because the tour soon. And we still have to give Neru her tickets asap (as soon as possible)." Len took a breath after he finished talking and looked at Rin. Rin processed this in her mind and nodded in understanding. "Ok..." Rin replied and leaned on Len's shoulder. They were both surprised nobody had looked in their direction not even once. Rin finished her sandwich and stuck an orange slice in her mouth and smiled at Len, making soda spurt out his nose. "Owowow!" Len grabbed his nose and laughed and cried as a burning sensation ran through his nose and down his throat. Rin spat out the orange and it landed somewhere on the ground and she laughed so hard her laughs became silent, along with Len's. They heard more laughter coming from nearby and Rin stopped to catch her breath only to see everyone else laughing. Rin thought this was hilarious and snorted, making everyone else burst out in loud fits of laughter. Gumi fell out of the chair she was sitting in and cried out, "My stomach hurts! Ow!"
Miku was leaning on Kaito trying to keep herself up she was laughing so hard, while Kaito and Gakupo both couldn't stop laughing at Teto, who was laughing at Rin laughing at Len. Len at this point stopped laughing and was now coughing and spitting up soda.

After about ten minutes, everyone had calmed down enough to the point to where nobody would laugh if someone moved or made eye contact and went back to talking.
Rin and Len held hands while sitting by the pool on their towels finishing up their lunch. "Hey Len...?" Rin asked. Len looked over at Rin. "What is it?" Len asked. Rin leaned over and quickly pecked Len in the lips and looked over to see if anyone saw. Thankfully nobody had. She looked back over at a now blushing Len. Len wrapped his arm around Rin's shoulders and Rin Kaye's her head on his shoulder. "Hey." They heard Luka call from the table they were all seated at near by. "So now she sees us" Len thought to himself as they both pulled away from each other.
Rin was about to silently wallow in self sadness until she overheard Teto's high pitched voice. "Luka leave them alone. If that's the life they choose to live, let them be." Teto stood up and walked away and sat next to Len. All three of them looked over and saw Luka sitting there in shock as Miku mouthed "oh kill 'em!" Kaito saw Miku and actually yelled "OH KILL 'EM!"
Gumi snorted and everyone was back to laughing again.

After everyone packed their things and started to leave, Len walked over to Teto. "Hey Teto...thanks for standing up for us earlier." Teto smiled at Len. "It's no problem." Teto replied and walked out the gate. Len assisted Rin with her bags and held the door for her as she walked out. "Thanks." She thanked Len. "No problem" Len replied.
The twins walked as far from the group as possible and held hands as they walked down the side walk. As Rin walked along, she felt Len tug her wrist and she stopped and turned. "What?" She asked. Len pointed to the sunset. "This is the place where I realized I loved you..." Len mumbled and blushed a little. Rin smiled and leaned over and gently kissed Len on the lips. They both lingered there for a moment with their lips locked together until they felt a hand in their shoulders. They flinched and pulled away and stared awkwardly at Miku. "Okay you two lovebirds lets go." Miku smiled as the twins followed her. "Sorry...we just-" Rin started but was cut off by Miku putting a finger to her mouth. "Shh. Don't mention it. Sorry I cut you off but I asked Luka and she said you two can stay at my place. I told her I'd make sure you slept in separate rooms but you two can have as much freedom at my place tonight." Miku winked and turned around and continued walking. Rin and Len exchanged glances and smiled and skipped along happily catching up the the group.

This was gonna be a long night.
