A vocaloid love story

The end...

Rin woke up feeling suddenly hyper and pumped up. She got out of bed and walked over to the end and climbed up slowly and pounced onto a sleeping Len.
"LEN WAKE UP!"
"AHH! WHAT?! ...RIN DON'T DO THAT!"
"Why not? It's the best way to wake you up! Besides, I'm so excited for today!!!" Rin bounced up and down in Len's lap, to his disadvantage. Len cringed as she bounced on his legs that were quite crushed until he forcefully pushed her off.
"What's today?" Len asked. Rin gave him an unamused look and rolled her eyes.
"Um...our birthday? And our first day of tour, and the first time mom and dad get to see us perform on stage live!" Rin explained. Something in Len's brain clicked, and his face suddenly brightened. "OH YEAH! Happy Birthday! I know I said that earlier but still!" Len pulled Rin into a tight hug and they remained like that for the next 5 minutes before they broke apart to go start getting ready for the day.

Lenka Kagamine smiled at Rin's attempt at catching a frisbee that Rinto was tossing back and forth. "Almost!" Rin called as her hand missed the frisbee by 2 feet. "Rin....that wasn't even close to your hand." Kaito laughed. Rin glared at Kaito then tossed the frisbee into the air. The frisbee soared through the air until IS gracefully hit the neighbors car windshield and made a small crack. Rin cringed and whined while Len laughed his ass off. Rinto retrieved the frisbee and taught Rin how to throw and catch a frisbee properly before trying again with no success. Len threw the frisbee and hit a window, Kaito threw it to the ground after missing three times, and Rin sat there reading a magazine. Lenka and Rinto played catch by themselves after everyone else relaxed in the front yard. Luka came outside and waved at everyone. Gumi followed, skipping along behind Luka looking adorable with her panda hat.
"It's time to go everyone! The bus is waiting for us at the studio." Luka called. After everyone got situated in the van, they drove for an hour to their recording studio and boarded the tour bus.

*meanwhile in the bus*

Len sat in his bunk texting Neru about what the tour bus was like while Rin played checkers with Miku.
"How big is the tour bus?"
"It's like my room and Rin's room mixed together so it pretty big. Talk about no privacy whatsoever."
"lol so when am I able to see you again?"
"Sometime next year. I know, harsh. But that's life on the road for ya. Talk to you later."
Len locked his iPhone and joined in on the interesting chat Miku and Rin were having on octopus tentacles. (Not like that...*shivers* *has flashbacks*)
"What about octopus tentacles?" Len asked.
Miku laughed as Rin looked at him with a disapproving look. "None of your business!" Rin said and turned her head. Len rolled his eyes and walked over and sat next to Kaito. Len figured Rin was tired from playing catch and traveling. He didn't blame her, if it wasn't aloud from all the talking then he would've been asleep an hour ago.
Rin went on her phone and took a quick picture of Gumi sleeping and zoomed in on her face and laughed. "This is now my wallpaper." Rin said. Miku fell to the floor laughing so hard as Rin kept on turning her phone on and off, flashing that picture of Gumi over and over to everyone. Soon the bus was filled with laughter and noise so loud it sounded like a crowd.

The crowd cheered and called out for the vocaloids while waving their glow sticks. Backstage, Miku was under the stage getting ready to rise up to the stage and sing her iconic "World is Mine." Followed by "Magnet" with Luka. Then, for the best part to Rin, her duet with Len "Suki Kirai."

The music played on all the giant speakers while Their voices echoed and blended in with the large crowd singing along to all of the beautiful melodies sung by them. When Rin and Len's turn finally came, they shared a smile when they saw their parents at the front and center waving to them. The music started and Rin and Len felt themselves get lost within the music, emotions, and lyrics.

After the concert, the vocaloids all crashed exhaustedly in their beds, not even caring about changing their clothes or even showering.
"Welcome back to the road life." The driver said. Rin gave a small chuckle and a sarcastic tone, "yeah I totally missed that."
The bus filled with light laughter and a few jokes now and then until finally everyone got settled enough to fade into dream land.

After weeks and weeks of touring, the vocaloids got a break and went to stay at a private hotel just for celebrities and whatnot. Rin admired all the furniture and patterns and colors while Len stared in shock at how big it was. Miku and Gumi frolicked in the hallways while Kaito and Gakupo had a blast with the elevators. Meiko enjoyed the alcohol (typical) and Luka loved the balcony to see all of the beautiful cities, and Rinto and Lenka just enjoyed being there all together.
When everyone went into their own rooms, Len snuck into Rin's room to finally have some much needed alone time with her.
"Hey baby." Len whispered. Rin looked up from her sudoku book and smiled. "Hey." She said. She motioned for Len to sit next to her. Len crawled over to her and cuddled with her in the blankets. Len observed the sudoku puzzle and hummed. Rin typed numbers into her calculator and searched for answers on the internet. With little to no success, Rin closed her book and set it on the night stand. She sighed and lay her head down on the pillows and snuggled into the blankets. Len hugged her tight and gave her a short kiss.
"Sleep tight." Len whispered and headed off to his own room. Rin smiled to herself and thought, "I'm lucky to be the only girl to have him. Nobody will ever take him, he's mine and only mine." She drifted off to sleep and dreamed of the happiest things you could think of.

Rin woke up suddenly and ran into the bathroom and started to vomit. Usually you'd think of the stomach flu but this time it was serious...
"Rin! Oh my God! Somebody call an ambulance!" Luka called out into the hallway for the others. Len rushed into the bathroom and saw Rin vomiting blood into the toilet. He pulled her into a tight hug and trembled harder than the earthquake shook them that one day. Rin's sobs made him absolutely terrified to leave her alone again.
"Len...I-I'm scared. Am I going to die?" Rin asked as she looked into his eyes.
Len looked down at her and tried to speak but her couldn't. Something was keeping him from doing anything. Suddenly everything started to fade. The adrenaline kicking into overdrive making his heart beat faster and faster as he panicked. Rin was suddenly too blurry to see and he felt her slip from his grip as he saw flashing red and blue lights. He started to be pulled and yanked by something. He tried to scream but he couldn't. He saw that someone was lifting him into the ambulance. But before he could get in, the guy let go and Len fell backwards into nothing but darkness.

Len woke up and sat up, holding his head in his hands. He felt himself covered in cold sweat and he was trembling like there was no tomorrow. "Please let that be a dream! Please let that be a dream!" His voice in his head screamed over and over. He went into the bathroom and checked the toilet for any signs of blood. Nothing. He snuck in Rin's room and saw her sleeping peacefully. She looked just like a peaceful little angel. Her hair slightly in her face, soft cheeks shaded a light pink, hands curled up by her chest, holding the blankets gently. Len smiled and took deep breaths and told himself that everything was okay. He leaned over and kissed Rin on the forehead gently so she wouldn't wake up. He went back into his room again and snuggled back into the covers and fell asleep again, this time being nightmare free.
