Rin lay in her bed peacefully sleeping while Len rubbed her back. Len watched as Rin started stirring in her sleep. Rin twitched a little and started to toss and turn, which concerned Len.
"Rin? Are you alright?" Len whispered. Rin opened her eyes and leaned over the side of her bed and got sick in the garbage can. Len held her hair and rubbed her back. Rin sat up and coughed, and rubbed her eyes.
"I hope I didn't get you sick..." Rin mumbled.
"It's okay babe, remember what I said earlier? I'm gonna be taking care of you!" Len replied. Rin looked up at Len, then flopped back down on her pillow. "But it's Saturday evening...you only have tomorrow to take care of me then school will happen. I don't wanna miss any days either because there were gonna be cheer try outs!" Rin pouted and hit her pillow. Len chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Luka will take you to the doctors tomorrow and give you medicine. You will probably only be sick for a couple days anyway." Len reassured Rin, who was now very grumpy and uncomfortable. "Whatever."Rin sat in the waiting room of the doctors office again, only this time she was not happy at all. She felt both hot and cold, everything was spinning and she felt dizzy and lightheaded and she felt like she was going to puke every time she moved. She leaned against the side of Luka's arm and stared at the ground. Luka stroked Rin's hair gently and watched her breathing patterns closely. Rin breathed somewhat uneven. First normal, then hard, then shallow, and finally back to normal. Rin coughed and felt everything move; she felt as if the world were turning too fast and she was floating above watching it spin. Her head hurt and it was hard for her to breathe, she felt like she was about to throw up and didn't feel well at all. "Rin, the doctor will see you now." The nurse called. Luka helped Rin stand and they walked together. Rin sat in the office and stared at the ground. The nurse took her temperature and took her blood pressure then left. She looked over at Luka and sighed. "I know sweetheart...the doctors will help you okay?" Luka comforted Rin with a smile. Rin stuck out her lip and pouted. "I want Len here." She whispered. Luka turned her head at the sound of a door click. The doctor walked in with a cheerful smile. "Hello Rin, haven't seen you since yesterday. I heard you were throwing up. I know that's not fun so I'm going to take a look at you." The doctor took out his stethoscope and listened to her heart beat and irregular breathes. He examined both her ears and her throat, then her eyes. "Everything seems to be fine except your breathing. I know your brother had asthma and there might be a slight chance you have it but it's probably just some congestion. The season change is starting to get to everybody." The doctor explained. Luka talked with the doctor about stuff Rin could care less about right now. She was more focused on trying not to vomit everywhere. She drummed her fingers on her leg and thought about Len. She wondered what he was doing right now, probably playing video games or sleeping. She took out her cellphone and texted him.
Rin: Hey
Len: Hey what's up?
Rin: Doctor stuff...
Len: Did you get shots?
Rin: no. He's talking to Luka
Len: of course.
Rin: I miss you
Len: I miss you too
Rin: I bet u don't miss me and ur just saying that because you love me
Len: no I actually miss you it's very boring around here
Rin: brb

Rin: I didn't get medicine but I got a list of things to not eat for a few days. I can't eat dairy or anything heavy. Light things and lots of water and stuff.
Len: oh...what can you eat?
Rin: not u lol
Len:...

Rin: haha very funny
Len: lol
Rin: I feel like crap
Len: :(
Rin: pulling into the driveway
Len: ok see u in a sex
Len: sec*
Rin: omgRin walked through the door and slowly walked up the stairs. She knocked on Len's door four times then barged in. Len turned around in his spiny chair and screamed. "Rin you scared me I didn't know you were in here!" Len yelled. Rin giggled and layed on his bed. Len paused his game and closed his laptop. He walked over to his bed and sat next to Rin. "How do you feel today?" Len asked. Rin snorted. "A little better today..." she trailed off. Len leaned over and looked at her upside down in the eyes. "What's the matter?" He asked.
"I can't eat any oranges. The doctor said no citrus-y stuff for a while." She explained. Len smiled and kissed her forehead. "Of course. You eat them everyday! Don't you think you need a break?" Len teased. Rin smacked Len in the face and rolled over with her back to him. "Hey what was that for? Rin that really hurt!" Len rubbed his sore cheek. Rin grunted in response.
"Rin?"
"What?"
"That hurt."
"Okay..."
"Rin."
"What?!"
"I love you."Rin scooted over and set her head on Len's lap. Len stroked her soft blonde hair and smiled. "Sorry I hit you." Rin apologized. "Oh it's okay. I don't really care. I'm used to it by now." Len shrugged. "What does that mean?" Rin asked. "Oh nothing." Len smirked. Rin was about to say something back to Len and probably slap him again but she felt the nausea wash o er her again like a wave. She quickly sat up and ran out the door and into the bathroom and got sick in the toilet. Len was half way down the hallway when Rin walked back out the bathroom and set her head on his shoulder. "Len I'm tired of being sick!" She whined. Len patted her back gently. "I know...you will be better soon okay?" Rin nodded and headed to her room. She snuggled in the covers of her bed with her headphones and cellphone and tuned out the rest of the world with heavy metal rock music.
