A vocaloid love story

First day of school

Rin woke up to the sound of her alarm clock going off. She rolled over and slammed her hand down and hit snooze. She sat up and rubbed her eyes then stood up and got dressed. She looked over to her bed as she was clipping her bangs and saw Len staring at her. "What?" She asked. Len smiled at her. "Nothing. It's just that, you look so nice in that new school uniform." Rin blushed a little then struck a pose for him. Len gave her two thumbs up then left to go get dressed himself.

The twins are breakfast in a hurry then went back upstairs to resume getting ready, then headed down stairs and outside to the bus stop. "Don't forget your lunches!" Luka called from the door step. Rin turned on her heels and grabbed the lunch boxes and ran to catch up with Len. "Here this is yours." Rin said as she handed Len his lunchbox. "Thanks, Rin." Len felt a little sad inside when he forced himself to say "Rin" instead of "love" or "babe."
"I guess I'm gonna have to get used to it again." Len thought. Rin leaned against the mailbox as she stared out into the sky.
"Hey, Len...I don't feel right." Rin looked over at Len with a blank expression on her face. Len tilted his head in confusion and walked closer to Rin. "What do you mean? You don't feel sick, do you?" Len asked. Rin shook her head. "No. It's not that it's just...the whole incest thing. Len I don't want to grow up and get older! I want to stay the way I am!" Rin stuck her face into Len's chest and tried so hard not to cry. Len could feel her shaky breaths and her held back sobs. "It's gonna be okay. Hey, we haven't sang in a while, have we?" Len smiled when he saw two blue eyes meet his own. Rin smiled back and nodded. "I want to sing. What should we sing?" Rin asked. Len thought for a minute, then came up with an idea. "Alright, I got one! I'll start and you can catch on." Len smiled. Rin nodded in agreement and Len started to sing.
"Ichidome no kiseki wa kimi ga umareta koto
Nidome no kiseki wa kimi to sugoseta jikan."
Rin smiled as she recognized the lyrics anywhere. KOKORO KISEKI.
"Kodoku an kagakusha ni, tsukurareta ROBOTTO. Dekibae o iu nara, KISEKI." Rin added on, then both voiced sang in a wonderful harmony until the song was finally over. They both stopped when they heard clapping behind them.
"Forget tickets, that was a live performance worth watching!" Neru smiled and a walked over to the twins.
"Hey Neru! Yeah, we were singing to cheer Rin up. She was having some anxiety about school starting." Len explained. Rin knew Len was lying from what he knew, but to Rin, half of it was actually true. She did have some mixed emotions about school.
"Ah. I see. So...what's up with you guys lately? Anything knew?" Neru asked. The twins shook their head. Rin was about to say something when they heard the bus stop and the doors opened. "You guys high school? Hop on." The bus driver pointed to the back and they all got on. Neru sat in front while the twins sat next to each other in the middle of the bus. "Hey guys!" Teto waved from the seat across from them. "Hey Teto! How have you been lately?" Rin asked. The three chatted all the way to school. After everyone basically shoved each other off the bus, the twins found a table outside to sit at with Neru and Teto.
"Do you guys want to really grow older? Or would you rather stay like this forever?" Rin asked. Len coughed and exchanged glances with the other girls.
"Hmm...I'd rather get older but staying this age for a few more years would be nice I guess." Teto responded. Neru just shrugged. "Why, Rin? Why would you wanna be immortal anyway?" Neru asked. Rin looked at her hands and shrugged. "I guess because I just like to be...this age." Rin felt herself zone out and she remembered those times in the summer she spent with Len in the field and wonderful it would be to just stay young forever so they could always stay there and run through the flowers together forever. Rin felt herself snap back to reality though when Len shook her on the shoulder. "Rin! Are you alright?" Len asked. Rin blinked a few times then looked cluelessly at Len. "I-I'm fine, Len. Really. I just zoned out." Rin explained. Len nodded and stood back up. "Come on. It's time for class" Len waved a hand at Rin to follow and they both walked into the building and went off to class.
During lunch, Len sat with his "dude friends" and Rin sat with all the girls. Rin talked with Miku about her problems and Len talked with Kaito about Rin's problems, too. (Lol)
"And that's why I want to stay young forever." Rin finished. Miku nodded and set down her sandwich. "Rin, you have to realize that not everything lasts forever, but you know, you and...'him' can still be together forever. It just depends on whether you're willing to go that far." Miku said. Rin nodded and played with her left overs.
After school, the twins walked home together because according to Rin, the bus was stupid and so was school.
"Hey Len...I figured it out. I don't want to live forever. In fact, I want to spend the rest of it with you." Rin smiled up at Len and Len stopped dead in his tracks. "Rin...I—...alright then. If that's what you want, then fine. We will spend the rest of our lives together." Len held Rin's hand and hugged her.
