Today was one of those days, like, winter but not quite winter yet. It was fresh. The grass was covered in frost and the air was cool, but these days, I liked best. It wasn't too cold, and it wasn't too hot. I hated being trapped in this place when the days were hot.
I walked toward the school gate, with Cassie slowly walking beside me. We hadn't spoke a word to each other since we had left her house.
What the fuck happened last night?
I fully gave in to the person who completely fucked me up last year.
I gave in to the girl who I am so in love with, yet hate so much with every inch of me.
I walked through the gate, and turned to face Cassie who was wandering over to her group of friends. Great. Things have gone back to the way they were. I guess, everything she said last night was just a load of bullshit and all she wanted was to have me fuck her again. I rolled my eyes, then continued walking around to the place I met Natasha each morning.
I saw her in the distance, flirting and jumping around like a mad flea while Olly stood there watching her. Ollys eyes met mine, as he said something to Natasha to make her look at me. "Its Rosaaa." She sung, running up to me.
Weird. She never usually runs up to me.
"Hey," I smiled as she hugged me. "Did you miss me or something?"
"I got a ball date!" She explained, avoiding my question.
"Let me guess, it's Olly?" She nodded, smiling hugely. "Never saw that coming."
Together we walked into the common room and dumped our bags on the table that sat between her seat and mine. No one else was in the room, yet. The mornings were the worst in here, everyone was either really grumpy, or really hyper. There was no in-between. I collapsed into my seat, as did Natasha, then pulled out my phone. I had a text message, from Myah.
Cassie looks extra cherry today, what did yous get up to last night ;)
I smirked as I closed the message and began scrolling through facebook.
"You should've seen how he asked." Natasha piped. "He got down on one knee like he was proposing."
"That's cute." I responded, not looking up from my phone.
"I know right, oi, we should organise to go in the same vehicle? Who're you even taking?"
"Ben? I told you this."
"Oh, Benny? Cute." And that was the end of the conversation.
Going to the ball with Ben was an organised thing from last year after he'd dropped out of school to become a full time baker. If I had it my way, I'd take Cassie to the ball, although, that would get a few weird looks from some people, and a whole lot of snarky remarks which I really don't want to have to deal with.
Fucking Cassie.
Everything she said last night was so damn perfect.
Everything that happened last night, was so damn perfect.
Cassidy Evans herself, is so damn perfect.
While my mind was off in its own world thinking about the blonde, the rest of the year group were filing into the common room, taking their places on the couches, and doing their regular morning activity's, such as kicking a ball into the ceiling, breaking it even more than it already is, turning the stereo and playing music as loud as it could go, or sitting on their phones, probably catching up on the latest school drama.
I, however, was searching the room for Cassie, who was not anywhere in sight.
How badly I just wanted to look at her again.
