Chapter 10: expect the unexpected.

Melanie's POV:

I couldn't believe it at first either. Most people are happy when they find out that they're expecting. Not me. I didn't want to bring a child in a world like this. I wanted children trust me but not now. Especially when we have Seekers after us. The hardest part is I had to tell Jared. What if he got mad? What if didn't want to be with me anymore?

" Ian, I need you to promise not to say anything. I'm still trying to process this all."

" Of course Mel. I'm here if you need me. "

Wanda's POV:

Why am I so nervous? I'm not a human. I'm one of them.

" Go in see what they know, get as much info as you can then leave." Kyle said.

" Alright." I said nervously.

" Wanda" Jared came up to me as I got out of the car." You'll be ok. It's all going to be fine. If anything goes wrong I'll come after you. I love you Wanda." Jared hugged me. I left his arms and went to the door. The building was used for learning. It was a source of information. Any news you could find here.

I walked by a door labelled forces unit. This is where they send seekers out in the event of a human invasion.

" I saw them. They were there. And they weren't alone. They even have our kind as hostages." One seeker said.

"We shall sent 20 seekers over the area to look. Get them out peacefully. Do not harm the humans."

I quickly moved away from the door. They heard me.

I started running.

" Come back, Now!"

I exited out the back where Jared and Kyle would be. Sunny was still inside getting medicine.

" Jared Help!" I screamed.

I got into the car.

" where's Sunny?" Kyle asked

" she's still inside." Right as I said that Sunny came running out of the door.

Jared punched one of the seekers but he couldn't do it alone. Kyle hopped out of the car and beat the other seeker. I couldn't look. It was awful. I opened my eyes once I heard the trunk open. It was Kyle he had to dead seekers in his arms.

" Where's Jared?" I asked.

" He got knocked out."

" and got get him! He could be seriously hurt!"

" he's gone through worse. He probably just had a concussion he'll be fine."

Kyle picked up Jared and threw him in the back of the car. Blood was running down his face. I hopped in the back. I put Jared's head in my lap and cleaned his face.

" Wanda, Wanda I love you." Jared said groggily then passed out. He was in and out of it for the whole ride home. Kyle rushed him into Docs. I ran to go find Wanda. She was with Ian. Ian's face turned into a frown.

" Wanda, oh God are you ok? There blood all over you are you hurt? Come here let me see you."

" IAN!! I'm fine it's not my blood it's Jared's. he got into a fight with a seeker. He has a concussion and isn't fully conscious. He keeps going in and out of it."

MELANIE'S POV:

Jared was hurt. He couldn't be. He had to be ok. My child couldn't be fatherless. I ran to docs. Jared was mumbling words.

" Wanda, I love you." He said

" what the hell did he just say? When he is fully conscious I'm going to kick his ass." Ian said.

" No Jared it's Mel."

" Melanie I love you. Just remember that." I started crying.

" I know Jared. I have to tell you something."

" Jared I'm pregnant."

Then he passed out. And I broke down crying.
