Chapter 13: the road to safety.

Wanda's POV:

I felt bad for Melanie. First , she thinks she's pregnant. Then, she turns out not pregnant. I know I can't tell Jared. I honestly don't know how it's going to turn out.

I sat in the back of one of the big trucks. Ian was next to me. His head was rested on my shoulder. Ian is the piece of me that makes me feel human. He was the one who loved me when no one else did. He took me under his wing. That's why I love Ian. Jared couldn't love me like that. He couldn't see past the fact that I'm not human. Ian is the one I love and nothing could change that.

Jared's POV:

I screwed up big time. Melanie is carrying my child and I said I loved Wanda. She probably feels awful. Ever since I found out about my unborn child I've felt different when I'm around Mel. It was the same feeling I felt when I was with Wanda. Maybe Wanda was just a crush. Whatever feelings I had for Wanda are now pushed aside. I have to do what's right for my child and his mother. I'm going to marry Melanie.

I wanted to find her right away.

She was talking to Wanda in our room.

" Wanda can I talk to Mel privately for a minute." She nodded her head then left. " Jared there's something I need to tell you." She said.

" me too."

" Jared, you go first."

"Melanie when I first met you I was flabbergasted. You were not only human, you were beautiful. I never thought I would love a woman from this world. You came in my life and made me a better person. Then I lost you. I was devastated. But then I got you back. And I felt complete. Now your carrying my child and I couldn't be happier. So Melanie will you marry me?

" Jared....I know your just doing this because I'm pregnant. Well, it was a false alarm. I had my period I'm not pregnant." She wasn't pregnant. I just got to love a child that never existed.

I couldn't be mad at her. Even if I tried.

" Melanie are you ok?"

" I was kindve excited to have a child of my own, but I know raising a child in this world would be hard."

We left right before sunrise. It took us ten hours to get there. Then we stopped in the middle of no where.

" Jeb, why are we stopping?"

" we're here." He said.

There was nothing. Until I saw a man come from under the ground.

" welcome to our caverns. This is your new home" the man said.

This was my life. Living in caves and caverns. This is my normal.

I know it's not good but it was just a filler. Hey, better update than no update. Also today school started so updated will be slow and I'm so sorry for that. With the free Time I have I'll try to update.
