When I woke, I saw Jamie cuddled up next to me. He slept so peacefully. I got out of bed trying not to wake him. I slipped some clothes on and went to work. I wasn't bothered by Ian. He was still on a raid. I helped harvest wheat in the field. I avoided Jared whenever I could. It was get getting late so I cleaned up in headed to my room. Jared was pacing back and forth until he noticed I walked in.
"Jared...."
" I know I'm the last person you want to see but we need to talk. Kissing you was the stupidest thing I did but it was also the most perfect thing I did. I know we can't be together but I needed you to know I care for you so much Wanda. When I work I think about you. I try to think about Mel, but I just think of you."
"Jared I care for your too, I still have some of Mel's feelings left but Ian loves me. And I love him too. This is wrong and when I think of Ian I think of when I kissed you. I feel guilty because Mel is my friend. But then, the human part of me wants you. And I'm confused and..."
Jared didnt even let me finish before he pulled me in for a passionate kiss he ran his hands up and down my back. I wanted to stop but I kept kissing him back. He then picked me up and I knew it had gone to far. I had to stop.
" Jared...we can't." I was out of breathe. Jared was still holding me.
" You need to put me down."
"I love you Wanderer." He rarely called me Wanderer.
" I love you too Jared." He put me down and placed a kiss on my cheek then left.

ON THE RAID: Melanie's POV
Raids are never the same without Jared. Ian barely talks to me. I don't blame him. He says he's in love with Wanda but I know that he still see's my face as Wanda.
" Ian, this is our last stop right?"
"Yeah." That's all Ian ever gives me are one word answers.
We pulled up to a small house. We waited to make sure there was no movement before heading in. The house was well kept. I walked down the hallway. Pictures hung on the walls of a family. They looked happy. I remember my family. I tried to hold the years back but I finally came to a point where I couldn't. Ian approached and hugged me. Ian barely talked to me let alone touch me.
"Mel, are you okay?"
" I'm fine. I miss my family but I have a new one now and that's all I need."
Ian smiled and grabbed my hand. We got everything we needed and headed to the cave.
When we got there, it seemed as If all Hell broke Loose.
