Chapter 6: What's it going to take?

I hate the new update. Just saying.

Jared's POV:

Everybody was happy. I guess I should be happy too.

But i wasn't.

Jealousy raged through my body. Everybody seems to be walking on cloud nine and I'm on The ground wishing up there.

I mean i could. But I was selfish. I need to love Melanie. She deserves this.

I don't deserve her.

I've hurt her and I'm going to make it right. I'm going to finally start making something right.

Everybody was too busy caught up in drama that we forgot about the meeting.

"Uh guys, we have a meeting to attend." I said

We all headed out there. Being the last ones, all eyes were fixed on us. Especially Jeb's.

"Now that everyone decided to show up, let's start the meeting. As most of you know, we lost a very important death today.

It's come to my attention that some of you aren't getting along with the others who are not human. They are apart of our group now.

Wether you decide to accept this or not, you would not be here for them. They risked their lives for you. Jacob helped you find this place.

Anyone who thinks they can get away with murder of any kind will face severe punishment. Wanda, can you come up here?"

Wanda went up to the stage.

"Melanie, can you come up here as well?"

Melanie also went up on stage.

"Wanda, do you have feelings?" Jeb asked.

"Yes."

"The only thing that makes her different from Melanie is that she's in someone else's body. She feels everything.

If she didn't have the eyes, you wouldn't even know she wasn't human.

She wasn't placed in this body by accident.

We put her there. She's sacrificed her live more then anyone of us has.

Sure she's made some mistakes but who hasn't?

What's it going to take for you people to understand we're all not perfect."

I don't want to witness or even hear about another death?

If you fail to obey the laws, punishment will be enforced.

Everybody return to work." And Jeb walked off the podium.

Nobody dared to talk. Wether it be because of emotions or just because they were afriad.

Maybe everyone will have the peace they finally deserve.
