"Huh." I said as I walked out of the train station and found a guy waiting for me with a sign.
"It's been awhile since I last saw you Jane." The guy was no one other than the childhood friend I had when living in this town. Ben, he was the son of my father's best friend.
"Same goes to you Ben." I replied and he began leading me towards the car. "How's your girlfriend?"
"She's pretty good." He replied as he open the trunk and placed my suitcase inside. "Do you want to go straight to your hotel? Or do you wanna grab some dinner?"
"Dinner sounds good." I replied to Ben as we both got inside his car.
"Are you going to be okay this week?" Ben asked me as my eyes drifted from the road towards our surroundings.
Everything here was different. The surroundings weren't as green but rather dark and gave off an eerie air. Almost as if you could see the depression in anything you see.
The clouds in the sky indicated rain but to me they indicated pain. It was painful that the only thing that could've helped put out a fire from eleven years ago never ceased to come no matter how dark the sky was, the rain never fell.
But now each year it continuously falls, especially on the twenty-third of November. For the past ten years it's continued to rain on that day. And this year was no exception as the typical forecast was schedule both in my mind and on the weather channel.

A week soon passed and I was already back home, in my room unpacking.
My parents seemed to be doing fine and I felt relieved over seeing them and talking about somethings I've been needing to tell them about.
While I unpacked I was sure to be careful when taking out the present I brought for Russell. When I saw it I just knew I had to get it because if I didn't then I would regret it.
I was planning on giving it to him sometime next week. When? That was still unknown. Maybe I'll just keep it with me until the moment feels right.
And so I put the small gift bag into my book-bag. Just in case the unexpected moment happens.
Soon night came and it became Monday within a flash after experiencing nightmare.
For some reason Russell was in it. It had to do with him giving me a choice; if we should continue the relationship we had or end it and go back to being strangers. Yet, I couldn't wrap my head around ending it, thus I experienced a side that was worse than what I've already seen.
However that wasn't what scared me, it was the realistic image of him and his eyes when I began to dig deeper. Almost as if he would attack me for trying to understand him.
Shaking my head I wanted to stop myself from remembering the heartless expression those eyes held. They would've given anyone a scare if they even made the slightest contact.
Again I stopped myself from thinking and hurried to meet with Alice. I made to tell Russell that I was going to walk with her as she had something to say.
"Yo! Alice." I shouted as I soon reached her side. "What's up?"
"Nothing much. I just wanted to ask if everything went well on the trip." She spoke and her blue eyes glimmered.
