Chapter 8

(Eva's POV)

I can't believe I'm letting him do this. I should've just risked myself and went after Ms. Blake. Deaton's going over what's gonna happen and tells everyone to pair up. Lydia wanted to go with Allison, but Deaton said that Lydia should go with Stiles. Isaac goes with Allison and Scott seems genuinely shocked. Deaton asks me if I wanted to do Scott, and I accept. Scott looks at me and can tell that I'm scared shitless. He pulled me in for a hug, "I'll be back babe, don't worry." He said. "But I'm just scared that something will happen and you won't come back. I can't lose you, I've never loved anyone like I love you. If I lose you, I lose a piece of me." I said crying. He kissed me and told me not to worry.

When they went to the ice tubs, Scott hugged me, told me he loved me, and gave me his custom dog tags. He walked up to the tub and got in, when he sat down he gripped the tub with his moms watch in his hands. They stayed shivering in the tub until Deaton made us put them under. When I put Scott under, I felt a darkness trench over me. His eyes flashed gold and then his lifeless body laid there in the water. I clutched my chest. My heart felt as if it were about to explode. Deaton told me to lay down and that he would bring Scott back instead of me. That's all I remember before I blacked out.
