My face heated up, turning my fair face into a bright shade of red. Lily pulled away, and looked down at me with a smirk. I looked back at her in complete shock.
"I-I don't-," I began to say, before she pressed her finger to my lips to silence me.
"Don't say anything. Just enjoy the moment."
I nodded slowly, and leaned against the wall as my mind fluttered with thoughts. I had kissed a girl, and not just any girl, the mysterious Lily Petals. I knew nothing about, she knew nothing about me, yet I felt a connection to her.
I wiped her red lipstick off my lips, and looked down trembling. How did this happen? Why did I want it to happen again?
She titled her head, and entwined her fingers with mine. "I get what I want," she said, as she bit her lip and looked deeply into my eyes.
I blushed at the thought of her wanting me, and slumped against her. "Why? Why me?"
She shrugged, and ran her free hand through her short dark brown hair. "I don't know."
I didn't know either. I didn't know why, of all people, she would want me. I wasn't pretty or unique, I was dull and unattractive. I wasn't the bad ass girl she seemed to be, I was the opposite of everything she was.
I let go of her hand, and looked at her. "You don't know me."
She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand again, this time too tight of grip for me to slip out of. "I want to get to know you."

We spent the rest of the afternoon talking about out interests, and getting to know each other. I found out that Lily moved to Maine from Hawaii. She said her parents wanted a change of scenery, but she said that if she could, she'd go back.
I also learned that she was 17, whereas I was 16. She had a drivers license, and even drove around a motorcycle. She said she'd take me for a ride sometime, and I gladly took the offer.
I told her about how I was a big bookworm, and how I was into photography. I assured her that Simon and I were no more than friends when she asked, but she seemed unsure.
We were laying in my bed listening to music when my cell phone rang, it was Simon. I ignored it and looked over at Lily. She was the only thing on my mind.
She ran her fingers through my hair, and gently kissed my cheek as I blushed deeply. We said our goodbyes shortly after, as she left my house.
