Sienna's POV
I just arrived to my new school in New York, I'm not ready for this. I can't do this."Why do I have to do this? Everything was fine before. Why now?" I complain to Josephine.
"Because darling, your father feels that it's time for to become independent, it's an opportunity to make friends." She smiles and I cross my arms looking out our drivers window.
"Why does he care? He's never around anyway." My eyes meet with Josephine's, "As predicted he didn't even tell me goodbye" I chuckle. My nanny wraps her arms tightly around me and kisses the top of my head.
"Oh darling you'll be fine." She smiles and I feel somewhat better. Josephine has been my nanny since as long as I can remember, since my father was always busy and my mother died when I was a baby, Josephine was always around and took great care of me she felt like real family.
"I love you." I say and I get out of the car. The car drives off and my teary eyes watch her disappear. I walk down the halls of the large school and I find my way to the office. "Excuse me? Hi I came for my schedule and map."
"Oh yes let me get that for you dear I'll only be a second." The sweet lady says. I sit and wait on one of the chairs then reach into my purse for my sketch book. I got it for my birthday last year, Josephine gave it to me saying it was from father but I think she lied and it was really from her because father forgot since he's always busy. "Here you are Sienna and welcome to New York Academy" The lady waves goodbye as I thank her and I leave to go find my first class. As I'm walking down the hallway I'm trying to memorize my schedule and the rules, I look up to make sure that I don't bump into anyone or anything and I realize I'm close to the the classroom. Next thing I know I'm on the ground with all my stuff scattered in front of me.
"Wow I am so sorry are you alright?." A boy asks. A boy? I've never even came face to face with another male except for father and our driver! "You must be new." He chuckles trying to help me up but I quickly pull my hand away, "I'm Jonah. And your name is?" Quickly grabbing my student planner and schedule I shove them into my purse and run away from the stranger leaving him with no answer. "Wait! Come back!" He yells, but I keep running. I finally find the classroom and walk inside.
"Ah you must be our new student Sienna!" The man throws his hands up with a big smile on his face and I shyly nod then look around the room. There's so many people in here, I already miss it when it was just me. "Students please make sure you make Sienna feel welcome. You can take that seat right there and just watch the lesson since you don't have all of your materials today." As I walk to my desk I can feel all the eyes on me but I avoid eye contact, I quietly sit and stare at the board except I'm not paying any attention to the lesson. I can't stop thinking about staying home with Josephine or peacefully drawing in my cozy room. I'm going to absolutely hate it here.
It's lunch time and I totally forgot to bring something to eat, but luckily I have enough cash to buy food. Since I'm not really in an eating mood I just buy a granola bar and I eat alone in an empty classroom.
