Driving faster than before, Alex couldn't find any other way to express his rage without shooting anyone.  Alex listened every once in a while to hear the constant train of insults slamming Chad for wasting the ammunition on their only gun.  Whenever debris blocked their lane, Alex would jolt to the next lane over, causing the group the be thrown around the back of the truck.

The radio buzzed again: "We read you loud and clear.  Chopper twelve is ready whenever assistance is needed.  We'll make those traitors pay."

"You've gotta be kidding me."  Kathy said in disbelief.  "They caught our license plate in our escape out of Yosemite.  That's how the recognized us so quickly."

"Without a weapon, anyone who finds us will kill us.  We need another plan, because they WILL find us."  Alex responded.

Kathy looked back through the panel and yelled, "Does anyone have an idea of how to withstand another Bandit attack without weapons?  And don't you say a word Chad."

Chad grew a grim expression while Darwin, Angela, George, Samantha, and Brittany scratched their heads searching for an answer.  After what felt like ten minutes, Darwin spoke: "There's no possible way to get away without maneuvering cleverly."

Alex looked away from the road for a moment and looked back through the panel saying, "Alright then.  Wish me luck an hope I don't kill you guys."  He drew his attention back to the road as the same message played over and over on the radio.  In anger, Alex quickly changed the channel, but the same message was playing over.  He screamed, and smacked the ammo-less gun's barrel into the radio, smashing it instantly.

"Alex!  Calm down!"  Kathy pleaded.

"I CAN'T CALM DOWN!  THIS IS ADRENALINE KICKING IN!!"  Alex yelled back.

He looked in his rear-view mirror and saw two jeeps with mounted machine guns enter the highway.  "PERFECT!"

Kathy calmly looked to the back.  "Everyone get ready.  There are two trucks coming at us."

The first shots began pelting the back of the truck, making divots in the steel.  Angela, Samantha, and Brittany all backed away from the back wall of the truck and huddled on the front of the trailer. Alex checked his mirrors, and noticed that they were both going equal speeds and were taking a side. One on the left, one on the right.

Alex took note of the straight highway ahead. He grabbed Kathy by the back of the head, shoved it downwards, and put his head down as well. "What the hel..."

She was interrupted by a stream of bullets that flew through the windows and across to the other side. The windows sprayed glass around the seat, but it didn't hit them at a fast enough speed to cause injury. Two screams emerged from the sides, and Alex rose. He saw that the two machine gunners had been killed by the other gunner. Alex took this opportunity to sharply turn the truck in an attempt to ram the other jeep off the road.

They made contact, sending the smaller jeep sliding towards the wall. Alex hit them again, but much harder, and this sent the jeep flying into the wall, causing a massive spark explosion to emerge from the side of the car. The jeep tried to slam back into the truck, but it barely caused damage to the side of the trailer. Alex quickly turned the truck again, pinning the jeep down between the wall and truck.

The exit ramp quickly approached, and as the truck passed it, the jeep slammed into it. The jeep instantly was flung into the air with debris and sparks flying everywhere. As Alex drove on, he saw in his mirror the jeep come down with a heavy thud on the concrete.

The second jeep came into view, but they had another person climbing into the machine gunner's position. But the man did something that had not been expected.

He ripped the minigun of it's socket and stood up on the roof of the jeep. He aimed it directly at the driver's seat, and the gun's barrel began to whir. The bullets flew into the side mirror, destroying it instantly and getting rid of Alex's only way of seeing the jeep without dying. The bullets didn't stop, breaking the windshield and damaging the hull and side of the truck.

Alex started to turn the truck and pin this jeep down, but hat didn't stop the bullets. However, the second time Alex tried this, he managed to knock the man with the minigun off balance, causing him to fall down. He was slowly beginning to get up as Alex slammed into the jeep the third time, sending the jeep hurling into the wall, and sending the man with the minigun from the roof of the jeep to the ground in between the truck and jeep. The tires of the jeep shot up as they ran over his limp body.

Alex kept ramming the jeep into the wall, and it slowly began to rise. The two right tires were rising to stay on the wall, while the two left tires stayed on the ground. Alex turned off the wall, leaving the jeep stuck like that driving further down the road, and then rammed back into it once more. This sent the jeep completely into the air. Glass from the cracked windows was sent flying through the air as the driver's body was sent blasting out of his window.

The jeep fell with an incredible thud behind them.

Alex began to slow his heavy breath, and he looked over at Kathy, who was reacting the same way.

"Did you do it?"  Darwin asked through the panel.

Alex looked back.  "Yeah.  We made it."

The members of the group in the trailer cheered with glee.  The roadsign that the truck passed indicated that there was only twenty miles between them and the city of San Francisco.
