Chapter 29

Brian, Jimmy, Zack and I all sat there in the booth talking and waiting for our food. Zack and Brian were actually getting along, unlike last night and this morning. Once our food came, we all dug in and still continued to talk and laugh.

Jimmy had brought up the discussion of one halloween that I didn't want to bring up. I sat there with bright red cheek's because it was quite embarrsing, if you ask me.

"Awwwww look at that are you embarrsed Em?" Jimmy laughed.

"Shut up Jimmy" I snapped, shoving another bite of food in my mouth.

"You know those were seventy-five dollar shoes?" Zack asked, in a teaseing tone.

"And I said I was sorry, god can we drop it already" I snapped agian.

"Ok, ok geez Emma, no reason to bite someones head off" Brian said

"I'm sorry ok guy's? I just feel really jumpy for some reason" I said, my eyes darting out the window again.

"Emma you ok?" Brian asked, with concern.

I looked at all three of my boy's and could see worry written across their faces. But I couldn't lie to them, I knew I needed to tell them. I was just didn't want to ruin the great breakfast we were having. I opened my mouth to answer them when a ringing cell phone interupted me.

It kept ringing and I could tell it was at our table. I looked around the table at the guy's to see who wasn't answering their phone. Only to find them stareing at me. By the time I realized it was my phone it stopped ringing. I didn't know who it could be because it was a new phone, no one knew my number. Except two of the people who were sitting at the table with me. Well I guess two other people knew too. So I guess it could have been one of them.

Just than my phone started ringing again makeing me jump slightly. I clutched at my chest, while picking up my phone. I could feel Jimmy, Brian and Zack watching me still with worry. I was still feeling slightly uneasy. I furrowed my brows together at the unknown number display on the caller id. I pressed the talk button and raised the phone to my ear.

"Hello?" I asked

There was no answer, only silence

"Hello?" I asked again

"Hello Emma. Long time no talk" the person said

I felt my eyes widen in shock and my hand start to shake. My stomache was turning and not in good way. I felt Jimmy, Brian and Zack's intense gazes on me and I couldn't handle it. So I diverted my attention back out the window.

"Awwww have you gone silent on me sis? Why do you look so frieghtened?" they asked.

"B-Bryce?" I asked, before everything went insane.
