A/N: Sorry if this chapter is lame, but I'm running out of ideas and inspiration. Plus I'm grounded. So... Yeah. But I hope you enjoy anyway!
I reached our house as Zangoose was grasping my hand. "Home sweet home," you stated, then sighed. I felt... depressed, but I didn't know why.
Instead of pondering the reason, I decided to shake the feeling and put on another smile. I always tried to stay happy. There was a reason behind me staying happy all the time, after all.
Flashback
"Ryan?" my mom called. "Yes, Mommy?" I replied.
"I need to tell you something." "What is it, Mommy?" I was worried what Mom was going to say.
"Remember when I told you that you need to stay happy, no matter what?" Mom asked. "Y-yes. Yes I do."
"The reason I want you to stay happy all the time is because you are what keep people happy," she told me. "Everyone in the world. I didn't tell you sooner because I didn't think you would understand. You have the power to control a person's emotions. If you were to feel negatively... Well, I just feel that you may use that power wrongly."
I was surprised at what she said. All that power in my hands. I was determined to be responsible and use this power for good.
End of flashback
I snapped out of my trance to find myself sitting on the living room couch with Zangoose's arms wrapped around me. I heard deep breathing and realized that she was asleep. 'I'm glad Zangoose is here,' I thought. 'She makes it easy to stay happy.'
A/N: I couldn't think of a fitting picture, so I'll have to skip this one. See ya later!
