Dan and I leaned back into the car seats. He had the biggest smile on his face.

"What are you so happy about?" I turned towards him.

"I just performed. It was amazing."

"You did amazing." I hugged him then we started our journey back to Pine Acres Apartments.

"Wait!" Dan yelled, taking a sharp left.

"Where are we going?" I asked as he took turns, not the direction of where we were supposed to be heading.

"Phil lives down here. I want you to meet him." Dan pulled into a driveway after a minute of excitement.

The house looked to be a dark red burgundy, two story. It had a futuristic shape to it.

Dan sprinted up to the door, walking right in.

"Phil!" He yelled, his voice echoing up the spiral carpet staircase.

"Dan!" A voice boomed through the house when a tall, slim, and colorful figure made its way to us, enveloping Dan in his arms.

"I haven't seen you in forever." Dan whispered, smiling.

"It was only two weeks ago." Phil giggled, his cheeks rosy.

"Oh, Phil. This is Frankie." Dan gestured to me. Phil's ocean blue eyes casted down on me with a bright smile. I felt so intimidation or nervousness around him. Especially me being the socially awkward person I am. I felt comfortable.

"Hello there." He grinned, bringing me into an unexpected hug.

"Hi." I said, patting his back and chuckling towards Dan.

"So, Danny. Is this your girlfriend?"

"Oh no. No, she's just a friend." Dan's face quickly turned a light shade of red.

"Would you all like something to drink?" He walked down a corridor of bookcases filled with plush characters, pictures, and books.

A woman with long soft caramel brown hair and light green eyes approached us, resting her hand on Phil's arm.

"Oh Hi, Dan!" She said, hugging him tightly then backing up next to Phil.

"Who's this?" She said smiling at me. Her teeth were brighter than my future.

"This is Frankie." Phil nodded towards me.

"Hi, Frankie." She reached her hand towards me, inviting to shake it. "I'm Jenna. Phil's girlfriend."

I shook her hand with a smile. "I'm Dan's friend."

"Ah. I can hear. She's definitely not from here. Quite American." She chuckled, her body naturally swaying making her loose blue button up shirt move with her.

"Come on, Dan. Let's let the ladies talk." Phil said, him and Dan entering the kitchen.

"Yeah, I'm from California."

"I love Cali. I went there for an Armani Runway show."

"Oh, nice. Did you get good seats at the show?"

"No." She chuckled. "I was one of the models."

"Oh." My insecurity levels just spiked.

After a few hours of chatting, Jenna told us she had to go to a photo shoot for Tom Ford.

"She is very sweet." I smiled.

"I know. I'm so in love with her. She is my everything." Phil seemed to be getting lost in a thought about her as he spoke.

"I know how you feel." Dan chuckled as he glanced towards me quickly, then back to his plate.
