Escape

There you were. Hiding in the closet grasping onto your shirt tightly. Your parents had told you to quickly hide in the closet. Your father was killed by the murderer. Now HE was hunting for your mother. You didn't want to leave your mom here alone. You weren't going to leave without her. Your mother comes in the room and locks the killer out. You can hear him slamming on the door trying to break it down. Your mother had blood all over her clothes clutching onto her arms.

"Y/n, sweetie, I need you to escape. You can't be here."

"No, I'm not leaving you here with that killer!"

"Y/n please-"

The door's hinges looked like they were going to break. Your mother put one hand to the side of your cheek.

"Y/n, no matter what happens, I'll always love you and be by your side. Don't forget that."

Tears streamed down your face.

"Mom please. I-I can't leave without you. You have to come with me. Please, don't do this."

You both give each other one last hug before the door slammed open. There he was. He looked bloodthirsty and licks the knife clean.

"Oh? Look what we have here. Mother and daughter. How sweet~"

You were terrified. The way he looked at you, the string iron smell of blood, and the knife he held in his hand. Your mother pushes you out the window and locked you out.

"Y/n RUN!!!!"

"MOM NO!!!!!"

You watch as the killer stabs your mother, but you didn't want to see nor hear her. You squeezed your eyes shut and covered your ears. With a heavy heart, you ran away as far as your legs would take you into a nearby forest. You almost reached the mountain, but there were rumors about this place. People who climb this mountain have never been seen ever again. You weren't sure if you should climb it, until you hear a voice behind you.

"Hide and Seek..... my favorite game~"

Your heart skipped a beat before your instinct takes over. You had no choice, but to climb this mountain. You wasted no time climbing the mountain. What really scared you was when he yelled:

"Hahaha!!! I found you~!!!"

Adrenaline pumped through your veins and you desperately climbed faster and higher. You were mentally stressed and scared to death. The climb up the mountain was making you tired and breathing was becoming a little harder, but you weren't going to get killed just yet. Once you make it to the top, you can see HIM not too far down. In fact, he was just a couple of feet down. You looked around and see a small cave. Maybe you could hide in there? You quickly rushed into the cave, not caring if a bear was living in there or something. You find a hiding spot inside the cave behind a large stalagmite.

You cover your mouth to suppress your heavy breathing and silently waited. The murderer comes in the cave looking around while chuckling.

"Are ya here little finch~?"

He walks around the cave and stops right in front of where you were hiding. You can hear the beating of your heart pounding in your chest. You wouldn't dare move a muscle. The killer looks around before just walking out of the cave.

"Maybe she ran up here?"

You sigh softly out of relief. You managed to slip away from him. You make sure he wasn't anywhere near the cave before trying to get up. Your foot slips and you fell down a hole. How were you not able to see the hole?! You kept falling and falling until you land on the ground. You black out for a second before getting up. Something had cushioned your fall. Underneath you were golden flowers. They were a little crushed. You rub your head from the pain before looking around your surroundings. You were still scared after what had happened. You clutched onto your shirt again and cautiously walked further up. You were still trembling and you have no idea where you are.

You jump at the sound of someone or something whimpering. Curious, you take a few more steps ahead and see a single golden flower. It's petals looked damaged and it was crying? You have never seen a crying flower before. Something wasn't right. You must either be crazy or you landed in some other world. How is that even possible? You cautiously mover closer towards the flower and stopped when it looked up at you. It looked so sad. The flower put its leaves in front of it's face.

"Please don't hurt me!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Y/n."

The flower puts its leaves down before responding:

"I-I'm Flowey...... Why are you here?"

"I fell down here running away from....... someone and I don't know where I am."

"This is the underground, but you shouldn't be here. She'll be coming back any seco-"

You can hear footsteps in the distance and Flowey starts to shake.

"She's coming! Hurry Y/n before she comes!"

You hesitate, but manage to find a large boulder to hide behind. You peek from the boulder and see an uncanny goat monster. The way her face looked almost made you think of the killer.

"Why hello there Flowey! Has any human fallen here yet?"
