The Sun Must Set To Rise

I wake up to Carl shaking me. "Nikkiiiiiiii" he whines. I turn so I'm on my stomach with my face in my pillow.

"What" I mumble.

"Want to watch the sunrise with me?" He asks. I groan and roll over. He's sitting on the edge of the bed drinking a cup of water. He smiles when he sees me. I smile back.

"What time is it?" I ask. He looks at his wrist watch.

"It's six am." He says.

"How long have you been up?" I ask.

"Since about four am" he says taking my hand in his.

"Why were you up so early?" I ask confused.

"I just had to do some thinking." He says.

"About the baby?" I ask raising my eye brows. He nods

"and I have to talk to you about it." He says. I groan and get out of bed. I only have pajama pants and a tank on, so a grab Carl's sweatshirt off the floor and put it on. It's really big on me, but I like to wear it because it smells like Carl. I walk over to Carl and he grabs my hand. We go out to the back deck and sit looking at the gray sky. I sit on Carl's lap.

"Ok so what did you want to tell me?" I ask still half asleep. He takes a deep breath.

"So I've been thinking since I got up about the baby, and well.... I decided that this baby is a good thing. We can deal with everything as it comes and just enjoy life. If no one else supports us, I'll go on runs for baby supplies. Life might be ten times more difficult, but we can make it with a baby. And we have Julia and CeCe to help you give birth. This could be a wonderful thing if we do it right." He says grinning. I can feel the tears coming to my eyes. I hug him.

"I love you I love you I love you!!!" Is all I can say. He laughs and hugs me back. The sun starts to rise and we just sit and watch the sunrise. It's April tenth so it's still some what cold out, but Carl's sweat shirt keeps me warm.

"When are we going to tell the group?" I ask still watching the sun come up from behind the trees.

"As soon as possible" he says.

"But I'm scared." I say looking at him. He takes my face in his hands and looks at me.

"I will be right by your side." He says kissing me. I kiss back. Suddenly the door opens.

Hey, I need a name for my readers.... Hmmmmm..... What about wolf pups? YUS that's perfect! Lol I'm kind of obsessed with wolves. Sooo any way.... Sorry it's another short chapter.
