Mythology High (On Hold)

Chapter 5

*Zeus POV*

Man, do I hate romcoms. However, my girlfriend Hera was obsessed with them, so that's what we usually ended up watching on our Friday movie nights. We were cuddled up on the couch in my apartment just off campus, she laying on my side, her breathing in sync with mine. Her brown eyes were glued to the movie, absorbing as much of the girly romance as she could get. Hera still stayed in the dorms at school, but if we wanted to, we could live off campus. I placed a quick kiss on the top of her head, and I noticed a smile slip onto her lips. Carefully I wrapped my arm around her shoulder, but she was too transfixed to notice. Slowly my hand rolled down her body, absorbing the warmth as they traveled around her curves. I reached her waist where I began putting my hand in her pants, but quickly she squirmed away from me. She looked at me, her face growling with anger.

"Zeus! You know I'm saving myself, and how important marriage is to me," Hera growled. I reached for her and pulled her close to me.

"I know, but couldn't help myself," I said in the sweetest voice I could muster.

"If you decide to stick around for the long run, you may get that chance, but not today," she said, her tone slightly gentler. I didn't know if I would be able to wait, but I would certainly try. Hera was gorgeous in every way imaginable. She had blonde hair that was slightly longer than her shoulders, brown eyes that warmed you like a blanket if you looked into them, and a gorgeous body that every guy wanted to be with. "I will be right back, I need to use the bathroom," Hera said, pulling herself out of my grasp, blowing me a kiss before closing herself in the bathroom. When I knew she was gone, I pulled out my phone to play a game. My phone vibrated in my hand, and an incoming text popped up at the top. I opened it and saw it was from Io.

I had remembered Io from the summer, and I was thrilled she had tried to find me. As much as Hera was gorgeous, she was oblivious which made her the perfect girlfriend. It gave me plenty of opportunities to calm my needs. Lucky for me, I had been able to charm Io and I knew I would be able to get everything I wanted from her with a little more work.

I put my phone away as Hera came back, laying down across my lap. I ran my fingers through her hair, unraveling it from whatever braid it was in today. I bounced my finger on her nose, until she grabbed it and planted a quick kiss on the back of my hand.

"Is that all I get for being the best boyfriend ever," I whispered, teasingly.

"Maybe, but if you want more, you're going to have to catch me first," she whispered, quickly jumping off my lap and running to the door of my apartment. Her sudden movement caught me off guard as she slipped out of the room. I got up quickly, and started running. I saw her run down the hall towards the steps and I chased after her, a smile covering my face. I could hear her laugh as she made it outside. I followed quickly and watched her cross the street towards the forest. I watched for traffic before I dashed after her. I put on a bolt of speed, and I talked her to the ground. Hera erupted in a fit of giggles as she tried to roll away from me, but my grasp was to strong for her to escape. She stopped rolling when she found herself on top of me, her arms pinned between us. I wrapped my arms around her, squeezing her even closer to me. She looked at me, her faced pinned against a backdrop of thousands of stars. She managed to free her hand enough to brush her hair out of her face. 

"I must look like a wreck," she said, a hint of laughter in her voice.

"Yeah, you do look kind of messy," I laughed. She pat my face in a sort of slap way, but I knew she knew I was joking. I all honesty she looked just as beautiful as ever. I looked into her eyes that were pulling me towards her without a single word. She leaned down and kissed me sweetly, the taste of her cherry chap-stick still lingering on her lips. As we kissed, I rubbed my hand down her spine, feeling as her muscles tensed at my cool touch. She stopped kissing me, and looked at me with as much warmth as I've ever seen. 

"Zeus."

"Yeah, Hera."

"I love you."

"I know." I gently placed another kiss on her lips before letting her roll off me.

Sorry this is so late, I was on vacation with my family and didn't have a chance to update. I'm so happy for anyone who has read this far, and I'm so excited to see where this goes.

So we got to meet Zeus! I knew I wanted to mainly focus on the heroes and mortals from the original stories, but the gods are so important that they will be in it a lot.

If there are an heroes or gods from mythology that you would really like to see you can comment or message me, and I will try my best to fit them in, although it might not be right away.
