Harry's POV

I groaned at the light coming from the window. My head is pounding and I feel as if I'm gonna be sick.

I opened my eyes and frowned at the unfamiliar room. My eyes widened thinking that I've done something terrible but sighed in relief when I saw a picture of Abby and Jake from high school.

I got out of bed and slipped my jeans on before walking out of the room to hear mumbling.

I walked into the living room to see Abby pacing while talking on the phone. She pinched the top of her nose in frustration "dad I said no"

I stepped closer and she looked up "I've got to go" she then hung up her phone and threw it on the couch before letting out a sigh.

"You okay?" She nodded her head as she sat down "just my dad"

I sat down opposite her "how'd I get here?" She avoided eye contact yet again "you were drunk and you came over"

I haven't drunk in years. I will admit I did have a drinking problem but when she came along she helped me stop and after the accident I drank for a bit but realised it wasn't helping.

"Did I say anything?" I know that when I'm drunk I say things I shouldn't.

She didn't speak which made me nervous "please tell me what I said"

She finally looked up "you came in and tried to kiss me" I saw her cheeks go red before she continued.

She's not telling me.

I sat straighter "Abby, what did I say?"

"You said I look like your past girlfriend" my eyes widened as I sat back.

I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. There was a knock on the door and she stood up "that's Kyle"

I watched her as she left the room. I really need to tell her what's going on with her dad and us.

Kyle walked into room and gave me a disapproving look "you promised"

I looked down ashamed "I know" I looked back up seeing Kyle talking with Abby "thank you for looking after him"

She shrugged her shoulders "he came here in the middle of the night, I wasn't going to let him leave"

Kyle turned back to me "you better put your shirt on and come with me" he looked pissed so I didn't argue.

I know I'm going to have a lecture  from him when we leave.

He may not be my real brother but he definitely acts like it.

I slipped my shirt back on and walked out of her bedroom and walked over to Abby who was standing by the front door.

"We need to talk about yesterday" she shook her head and opened the door "I don't have time"

"Please" she looked like she was going cave in but still shook her head.

I wasn't taking no for an answer "I'll come back later and we'll talk"

Before she could speak I kissed her on the cheek and walked out of her apartment with a pissed off Kyle behind me.

Once we were outside was when he started.

Abby's POV

I slipped on my coat, ignoring my texts as I left my apartment. My dad called earlier saying that May wanted to spend the day with me but I refused.

Ever since he's been trying to call me but I leave it to go to voicemail.

Once I walked out of the building I saw May getting out of her car. I rolled my eyes and continued walking as she called my name.

"Abby!"

She grabbed my arm when I walked past her making me scoff and pull it away "I don't understand why you hate me so much"

I turned around "you wanna know why? Maybe it's because you're only five years older than me! It's weird and disgusting! I know you're using him for his money and this baby thing is a scam! I know people like you!"

She looked taken back by my rant. "Look I know you hate me but I love your dad" I scoffed which made her frown.

"The only thing I've been doing since we got together is to get to know you. I know what the situation looks like but it's real" she looked through her bag and took out a sonogram "the baby is real. I got this two days ago"

I looked away as she continued "is this really about the age difference? Or is it about your dad moving on?"

I shook my head and turned around, ignoring her as I walked down the road to the bus stop.

I stared at my newly dyed hair in my floor length mirror. I wanted a change.

I bit my lip as I slowly lifted up my shirt seeing the horrible scar on my side. It goes from my hip to my armpit.

It's the only scar I have and I'm not the one to get insecure but I can barely look at it or let anyone else. I haven't shown Jake. He's asked about it but I don't anyone to see it.

I put my shirt back down when there was a knock at the front door. I walked slowly knowing it was Harry.

I opened it and Harry's eyes widened when they landed on me.

"Wow" I looked down feeling uncomfortable "I just wanted a change. Is it bad?"

He shook his head "definitely not"

He then held up a white plastic bag and smiled "I brought dinner" I moved to the side to let him in.

I followed him into the kitchen and got us drinks as he set out the food.

We sat down at the table and he cleared his throat "we have a lot to talk about"
