CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Regina

As soon as six o'clock hit, Iva and I were out of there. We hung in our aprons, and exited the bakery. It was finally time to go home after a long, hard, eventful day. I was so happy we were catering, and so was our boss. It was going to bring in so much business. I couldn't wait.

It was going to suck when we had to leave in a month. I am going to miss everyone at the bakery, and all of our friends. But it was life. Time to move on.

"Tell me when we get home, will you?" She said, yawning, and scooting the seat back. I just smiled.

"Sure." I said, zooming off.

"Iva, wake up!" I yelled as soon as I had powered off the car. I laughed as she jumped up, and hit her head on the roof of the car.

"Ow!!" She yelled. "A simple shake would have been a bit better, Regina!"

"Yeah, but not as fun!" I laughed, and hurried out the car. I locked it, and Iva and I made our way to the house.

"I'm going to get you for that, Reg!" Iva exclaimed, still rubbing her head. I just laughed.

"Ooh! I'm so scared!" I mocked, laughing at her.

"You should be. Because two handsome young men are going to give you a freight tonight." Iva and I turned to see Cloud and Travis sitting on the patio chairs. I groaned. I was too tired for company, but Iva apparently wasn't.

"Cloudy!" Iva exclaimed, and I almost gagged in my mouth. I heard Travis chuckling his way over to me.

"You'd think I'd get used to it by now." I said, smiling. He held out his arm, and I entangled it with my own.

"I don't think we'd ever get used to that." He said. I just laughed.

"So what are you guys doing here?" I asked, walking into the house.

"We knew you two were getting off, and decided to surprise you with food." He said, sitting on the sofa, holding up a bag of Chinese food.

"How sweet." I said, mockingly. "You couldn't have picked a better time to come."

"Why am I sensing a bit of sarcasm?" He asked.

"Because it is sarcasm." I told him, sitting down. "I just wanted to lay down, and watch TV tonight."

"Too bad." He said, and I gave him a surprised look. "You're going to have fun tonight, and you are going to love me afterwards."

"Yeah, whatever." I said, rolling my eyes. "So what are we doing?"

"Well... we thought it'd be fun to play a game of Monopoly, and eat some nice take out." He said, leading me to the coffee table. Iva and Cloud were too busy cuddling on the couch.

"Come on guys!" I yelled at them. "Take a break!"

"Oh hush!" Iva yelled. She grabbed Cloud's hand and they joined us on the floor.

"I'm the car!" I yelled.

"Like hell you are!" Travis argued, and I gave him my best challenge look. He did eventually bow down.

"Fine!" He said, smiling. "Nobody could ever be upset with that cute face."

"Cloud, pass over the food!" I yelled at him.
