The rest of the night was filled with talking about everything and nothing at all. Ellie and Jackson laid with each other, but tonight was different. Jackson told her things he had never told anyone before, not even Lydia. With Ellie, he felt as if he had known her for an eternity. They had a special bond that couldn't be broken. Ellie expalined her relationship with X and Jackson explained his relationship with Lydia. He told her about his lacrosse days, she told him about her musical side. Though he tried time and time again, she refused to sing for him. She said that he would hear her eventually. After hours, the duo fell asleep. Having Ellie in his arms gave Jackson a sense of comfort that he loved.

The next morning, Jackson woke up to the feeling of soft lips trailing along his neck. Sure enough, when he opened his eyes, Ellie was staring up at him. Her lips slowly moved up under his ear, stopping just below it."How are you feelin' this mornin'?"She whispered, her hand rested on his abdomen. Jackson let out a soft yawn, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead."I'm feeling amazing right about now."He whispered, resting his hand on the small of her back. She giggled, snuggling her head into the crook of his neck."You know what I meant."She told him, tracing small hearts on his abdomen. Jackson chuckled softly, looking down at her."I am feeling much more...alive today. Do you think we can go back to my flat though?"He questioned."I'm much more comfortable there. Maybe we can even go out later."He offered, willing to do anything just to get out of the bed he had been lying in for the past day with very minimal movement. Sure, it helped him heal faster, but it was seemed as if the day lasted forever. Ellie studied him, looking at the wound under the white bandage that was taped over his chest."You've just got scratches there now.."She whispered, her tone as if she was mesmerized by what she was seeing now."Are you kiddin' me?"Jackson's eyes darted towards the door, a smirk dancing onto his lips when he saw Carter standing in the doorway."Damn, I'm glad to have such a strong beta in my pack. Maybe I should be a bit scared though."He teased as he neared closer, taking the seat beside the bed. Ellie stood up from the bed, her hand resting on one of Jackson's shoulders for support as he sat up in the bed."Don't worry man, I don't want this to happen to me again. No more fighting alphas. Unless they're trying to kill one of us, that is."Jackson said, laughing slightly as they all did the same. After a few moments, Addison and Lola entered the room. Something about Addison seemed different. She was actually talking and smiling."Hello Jackson."For the first time in the past months, Addison had finally addressed him by name without whispering. It actually caused him to smile. "Hey there Addison."He replied happily. For the next hour, everyone just talked.

After Carter and Addison left, Lola's father assured Ellie that Jackson was fine to go back to his flat. That was something he was more than ready to hear. Ellie refused to let him walk the distance, so Lola gave them a ride back to his place."You take it easy on 'em tonight now, Ellie. Don't wanna hurt the lad anymore than he already is."Lola teased as Ellie helped Jackson out of the car. Ellie narrowed her eyes at Lola, though she couldn't keep the serious act up for too long before she started laughing."Oh, she's rough."Jackson told Lola, chuckling as Ellie began walking away from him. Though she tried to play it off that she was mad, it was obvious by the events that began taking place in the apartment after they entered she wasn't.

Three hours and many... wait, let's not go there... later, Jackson's phone began buzzing. He groaned and picked it up, rubbing his eyes before looking at the screen. Seeing a picture of his mother on the screen made him smile."Mom, hey. What's going on?"He questioned, looking at Ellie who was now asleep on his bed. He didn't want to wake her, so he made his way into the living room."Hi honey, nothing really. Just calling to check up on you. How are things?"She questioned, though Jackson would never tell her of the events that had taken place."Things are great, mom. "Was the only reply he could think of. It wasn't a lie, really. Things were great now that he had Ellie. On the other end of the phone, he heard his mother giggle with excitement."I'm so happy for you, Jackson! And I can't wait to see you when you come in for Christmas. What time does your flight leave?"She questioned. Jackson looked on his counter, seeing his plane ticket laying out."Friday morning at seven."He told her, looking up as Ellie entered the room. Clearing his throat, he sat the ticket back down."I gotta go mom, see you Friday."He told her, quickly hanging the phone up.

Flashing a smile at Ellie, she gave him a suspicious look."What's goin' on, Jackson?"Ellie questioned, jumping up onto the counter. Jackson shrugged, leaning up against the fridge."Nothing. I was just wondering if maybe you wanted to.."Jackson trailed off, unsure if Ellie would even be willing to go anywhere with him. She squinted her eyes, teasingly kicking him."Spit it out, boy! Or I will make you."She urged, now staring at him. Jackson chuckled, smirking slightly."Oh you're going to make me, huh? I would like to see that happen. Go ahead."Jackson teased.

A large smirk spread across Ellie's face as she placed her hands on either side of his neck. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she pulled him in closer to him. Her lips brushed across his, though she pulled back every time he would try to kiss her."Not until you tell me."She teased, her fingers trailing up his neck. Rolling his eyes, Jackson nodded once.

"Alright, alright. I was just wondering if maybe you wanted to go to California with me for the holiday. I'm leaving in two days and I really, really don't want to leave you. We have been apart for too long and I would go crazy not seeing you for even a week."He explained, making his way over to her, now standing in front of her. She sighed, biting her lip as she looked down."I don't know."She whispered, shaking her head. Jackson gave her a confused look, resting his hands on her thighs."Why not?"He questioned, his tone of voice soft."I really want you to meet my parents and my friends."He pleaded, Ellie now looking at the window."You don't understand. I won't fit in with them, Jackson. You come from money. I come from nothin'. You had a Porsche, I washed them."She admitted, making it obvious she was ashamed."We come from two different worlds."

Jackson sighed, moving one of his hands up to her cheek."Ellie, don't worry about any of that. They aren't going to judge you based on that. You're beautiful inside and out. Your personality is addictive, people are drawn to you. They will love you just like I do, I promise."He explained, making her look into his eyes so she would know he wasn't lying. She didn't say anything. Instead, her hands now rested on the back of his neck as she pressed her lips against his.
