Staring at Ellie's face, Jackson couldn't believe something that looked so innocent could cause the death of another being. He was dumbfounded. "Who did you kill?" He questioned, unsure if this was a topic that she was willing to discuss with him. A long sigh escaped her lips, her eyes looking everywhere but at Jackson's. It was easy to see that Ellie hadn't really talked to anyone about it before. Her body moved from beside Jackson's, now standing on the floor beside the bed. For moments, her feet paced the floor, her eyes locked on her feet. In hopes that she would tell him, Jackson didn't interrupt her. After what seemed like forever, her movement stopped. Now, she was peering out the window, her back turned to Jackson. "I was raised in a poor family. My father was a drug-addict, along with my mother. It didn't start until I was five. The year that my older brother died. He was their first born, their favorite. When he died, they didn't just lose him. They lost their minds. I was forced to do everything for myself. By the time I was thirteen, they put me in foster care. I hated it. It was constantly bein' sent to different families, but then a man and woman finally decided they wanted to try and help me. Seemed like the perfect family at first, actually. She was a doctor and he was a very well-known judge. They lost their son when he was sixteen, and they wanted another child. Things were good, at first. But then she started working night shifts and he was constantly drinking when I was there with him.."Ellie brushed her hair back from her face, peeking at the door as footsteps sounded. Once she realized nobody was coming, she continued on."That put me in a rebelious stage. I would run away, go out and party. In the beginning, when I'd come back, they would just send me to my room and the therapist the next day. But when she was gone and I would come in. He... he would punish me."She explained, her last few words in a whisper. Jackson listened carefully, situating himself in the bed. She cleared her throat, clasping her hands together before continuing on."At first, he would whip me. I didn't think anything of it, I knew I deserved it. But then, he started...started touching me. Making me touch him. It just got worse and worse. I stopped rebeling in hopes that he would stop, but he only continued doing it more. Lola was the only person that knew. I let it go on until my sixteenth birthday. That was the night I met Xavier for the first time. Lola introduced us, actually. They convinced me he could make everything all better for me. She told me what he had done for Atticus, Carter, Addison and herself, so I was immediatly convinced that he was like my angel or somethin'. So that night, he gave me the bite. I could've sworn that I was in love with him. He was my knight in shinin' armour. My protector. So, after the party, I went home. At first, I thought he wasn't going to do anything to me. It was my sixteenth birthday for God's sake. But no. Just as I was changin' into my pajamas, he came on to me. Told me he had a little 'birthday surprise' for me. What he didn't know was that I had a little surprise for him, too."She told Jackson, a slight smirk on her lips as she leaned back against the walls, her eyes finally looking at Jackson. "For the first few minutes, I couldn't stop him. Then it was like a switch was flipped on. I felt the burning inside of me, the first phase taking over. I ripped open his chest, Jackson. And I left him there to die." She sounded disgusted, though he wasn't sure if it was with the man or herself. Wiping her cheeks, she took in a deep breath. "I sat there, and I laughed at him. I can still remember teasing him as he begged for help. Telling him that I could make him better, but that he was a bastard and didn't deserve it."She explained to him, shaking her head as she crossed her arms across her chest."And then I packed up all of my belongings and left. Totally changed my look, stayed in hiding for two years. Then the pack moved here about a year ago. I'm free but I've been living in fear for the past six years of my life, Jackson. But you know when that feelin' goes away?"She asked, her pursing her lips. Jackson arched his eyebrows, shaking his head. "When?" He questioned, holding his breath as he waited for her to answer. Her eyes met his and he immediatley knew where she felt safe. "With you." She whispered, a small smile coming onto her lips.
