Chapter 4

Alex's POV

Over these passed weeks, Jack had been spending generous amounts of time with Lisa. She was younger by a year and a bit. I didn't even know if it was possible to be gay for your best friend one day and then go off with some girl. I had to talk to him but I couldn't. It was every single day at school and on weekends. It hurt a lot to see them like it.

I rushed to the dining hall, no sign of Lisa? Just jack. By himself in his usual spot, perfect. I pulled out the chair in front of him as I felt a grin grow on my face. "So..Lisa eh?" I awkwardly sighed before my eyes drifted from his. "What?!" Jack laughed, knitting his eyebrows in confusion. "Dude, the only reason she's spending time with me is because of you. She thinks your hot and she just always asks about you and it's gotten to the point where she'll just show up where she knows one of us will be." The grin dropped off of my face. A girl, a beautiful one at that, actually liked me? "We'll she's not really my type is she.." I chuckled to myself. She wasn't a dude. But that's another thing.

I'm not even gay, I swear down. I look at all these other guys with their muscles and their nice bodies and I don't feel a thing. I look at all these girls with their long hair and everything and god-fucking-damn it I feel nothing. But then there's Jack. The lanky, geeky guy who I'd found irresistible for a while now. "Maybe she should ya know, grow some balls?" Jack cackled, nearly spitting his drink everywhere. "I swear to god you are as bad as my mom with your ball jokes man." I grumbled before stuffing my face with my lunch.

Both of us didn't even speak another word for the whole of lunch. Lisa ran over to us and pretty much took over my seat until I was on the edge.

Jack's POV

Lisa told me how she' planned to sit with Alex nearly every lunch but she never got to. I did feel bad for her because she was lovely but she had no idea what Alex was actually like. He didn't like girls, from what I know and what's happened with us, he likes Blink 182 and Green Day. I may or may not have twisted things? She pulled out a MCR CD and slid it to his side of the table, I held back my laughter. She was babbling onto him about everything she liked that use thought he did too. "Listen Lisa.." Alex chocked, trying not to laugh at her as I was. "You're a great girl but you're just not my type. You shouldn't feel bad because none of the other girls I know are either." He said subtly as she got ready to leave. I had a grin plastered on my face at how indirect he was being about the subject that'd been crossing my mind all of these weeks.

"What's on your mind, Barakat?" Alex kicked my foot several times until I realised he'd actually been speaking for the past half an hour I'd gazed out. "Oh you know, the usual. Hot steamy, body builders obviously." I laughed at my own joke. God dammit Jack, you really were fucked about even being around the guy now.

Straight after the last lesson of gym when it was time to head home, that was exactly was he looked like. A "Hot, steamy body builder." The whole 'barafag' name had died down until I read the gym lockers that a group of jocks had been hanging around. There it was, printed over and over. Was I really that much of a freak to mankind? "Ready to go?" Alex's voices raised from behind me, I moved out of his path so he could see aswell. "Fuck it." He mumbled before taking my hand and waving it in the air at the airhead's that were still gathered next to us.

Until I reached my doorstep he didn't let go even though now we'd spotted Lisa, he still did. But he just stood even closer to me before our lips touched and- "ALEX!" She shrieked before covering her mouth. Man this was going to be around the whole town..again. I felt my cheeks go all different shades of red as did his.

~~~ idek I just thought Lisa should be involved to mix things a little. If you have any suggestions just let me know and I'll probably consider them because I'm a little rusty on the writing so this is just pretty much preparing me for my coursework. ~~~
